Robert Downey Jr. is being courted by studios that want to help him sustain his much-heralded comeback. Following his role in the year’s highest-grossing movie so far (Iron Man), he’s once again on their must-have list. In recent weeks, the 43-year old actor has had his eye on various projects, including Twentieth Century Fox’s Travis McGee (based on John D. MacDonald’s detective series), Warner Bros.’ Sherlock Holmes update from director Guy Ritchie, Gary Ross’ fantasy/comedy Dog Years at Universal, and, as previously reported by EW.com, Brett Ratner’s Hugh Hefner biopic, among others. Hmmm… Robert Downey Jr. in a smoking jacket, surrounded by Bunnies? We can totally see it.

I could see Downey as Moriarty. Hopefully not as Holmes, though.
I would enjoy seeing RDJ as hugh hefner.
That would be exciting. =]
DANIEL DAY LEWIS IS THE ONLY LIVING ACTOR WHO CAN ENBRACE SHERLOCK HOLMES!!!!! I REALLY HOPE THE PRODUCERS SEE OPEN THEIR EYES
I would love to see him as Sherlock Holmes. He is not the typical pick to play this character but after seeing sooo many good films he’s been in, I’m for sure one person who can’t wait to see what he brings to the character of Sherlock Holmes and what kind of script and movie that ends up being produced. Either way, he’ll be great in the movie.
