Those Bluths are such teases! EW has learned that no deal — much less a script — is
in place for a movie version of the Fox comedy Arrested Development, but that
hasn’t stopped the actors from chatting about it. Last week, Jeffrey Tambor told
EW that the project was a go, but his costar Jason Bateman reinforces what EW
has learned, saying that his costar’s comments were premature. “They are trying
to decide if they can make it for the money they need,” quips star Jason
Bateman. “Michael Cera is a huge star now…with a huge star attitude to go with
it. His salary will probably be the holdup.” (Additional

Wow…Michael Cera’s character is so modest in Arrested Development, it’s hard to believe he’d be demanding!!
“A huge star attitude?” That doesn’t sound like Cera has Bateman’s ringing endorsement…
That was a joke, you ninny.
Ace I’ve got a task, go on any internet dictionary and see if they’ve removed the definition of gullible for me will ya pal?
Okay, I know “internet petitions” are more or less the biggest joke the internet has to offer… but I will literally do ANYTHING for this movie to get green-lit and written… as long as I know it’s happening, I’ll be happy… Hurwitz can take as long as he needs, let the genius work… but this movie NEEDS TO HAPPEN… what’s the best way??
So what you’re saying is that the “Arrested Development” movie maybe… arrested in development?
Oddly, for this show, it makes sense.
Lynette, why you gotta break my heart like that? For a solid 48 hours, I was on cloud nine. And I know there were dozens of us feeling the same way.
UGGGGG!!!!! How are all these lame movies getting made yet there’s not enough money for an Arrested Development movie???? WHATEVER!
RE: “Wow…Michael Cera’s character is so modest in Arrested Development, it’s hard to believe he’d be demanding!!

HE WAS KIDDING. It’s called sarcasm.
And even if he weren’t kidding, he’s an actor playing a role. It could be very possible that the guy was a huge tool even if his character is “so modest”.
Chill out…pretty sure he is being sarcastic in that comment and if you can’t tell kind of making fun of SJP and the whole hold up with SATC movie…
You guys are pretty harsh!
Why God…Why!?!?!?! I am a very grumpy old woman and I smiled all day trying to guess what fabulous plot twists they would come up with all the while Ron Howard’s voice emphasized my inner monologue. Has Hollywood learned nothing from Sex and the City and Serenity? People want to see this movie made.
Just when I had my cut-offs pressed and ready to go they pull the rug out from under me. Come on FOX, please make this movie. I promise I will see it twice in the theaters and buy the dvd.
This shows needs to at least be on cable. I miss the quirkiness and the smart comedy it provided.
Sigh . . . I guess it’s back to my Teamocil and analrapist
