To Mary Cullen:
I agree with you.Idk why people have to compare and choose their favorite.Harry Potter and Twilight are both different and amazing series. Not everyone was happy with HP7 and the same with Breaking Dawn.Though I loved both. The books weren’t made to make everyone happy.
And can you people quit bashing Twilight .If you don’t like it then what are you doing on here?
I think it’s lame how people think that because Breaking Dawn had some bad reviews they think Twilight will suck at the box office.Ok,if you’re a loyal fan of Twilight and hate Breaking Dawn why take your anger out on Twilight, the book that started it all?
I hope that Twilight makes the money it deserves.
For all of you who are complaining about the comparisons between Harry Potter and Twilight: take your complaints to Twilight’s publisher- that’s who started that nonsense. And they’re eating some serious crow now.
A month ago, I’d have been thrilled that the Twilight movie was coming out early. Now, I need all the time I can get to get over the trauma of reading the dung heap that Stephenie Meyer has pawned off as a book (i.e., “Breaking Dawn”). I’ve lost my enthusiasm for the entire series now.
LOVE this news! I can’t even wait till Nov 21st! But at least its closer now… LOVED Breaking Dawn, so I just don’t get what someone people are b*itching about! What did they want to happen? How the hell would they have written it any better? LOVED it and will support the movie 100%!
Twilight will be a crappy movie. The books are the most overrated thing in recent years and can’t compare to HP books. Just look at the terrible ending it’s had. The trailer for this movie looks like a WB TV show. Totally uninspiring.
I find it hilarious that people get this upset over books and movie releases. I enjoyed both the Harry Potter series and the Twilight series but I don’t think there needs to be this big of a scene made over entertainment. One movie is out earlier, one just a bit later.
Yes, I am slightly upset, but what difference is it going to make when we’re all dead and gone?
It is apparent anyway that both of the films will go ahead and be blockbusters, making more in the first weekend than the majority of us see in our respective salaries in one year.
Please, don’t let the entertainment business run your life, unless it is your job. In the meantime, we can all go see the latest cinema trash that Hollywood can throw at us.
And please, everyone, watch your grammar. I hate to see our society come to arguing over entertainment and not able to argue in the right tense or with proper usage.
At least I have “Twilight” to look forward to. I’m still pretty frustrated about HP 6 getting pushed back to fraking July. *sigh* As for all the bashing…why? I love the Twilight Saga & Harry Potter. Why do people always feel compelled to compare eveything? It’s a little ridiculous. “Twilight” was the book that brought me out of my Post-Potter depression. (ha ha.) And as for “Breaking Dawn,” I enjoyed it. It wasn’t everything I hoped for, but it certainly was bad…just a little different.
Of course the comparisons between Twilight and Harry Potter are pointless because Harry Potter is much more popular than Twilight can ever hope to be. I like both series (or I did until Breaking Dawn), but Twilight will never do as well as the Harry Potter movies. I am planning on seeing Twilight, but I’d much rather see Harry Potter.
This is great news! I feel a little bad for the people who were looking forward to the “Harry Potter” movie, but I’m excited about “Twilight”. I thought “Breaking Dawn” was fantastic, BTW.
The Stephanie Meyer books are Anne Rice-lite, not the next Harry Potter.
Twilight is not, and will never be, the next Harry Potter. Why is everyone so eager to crown “the next Harry Potter”? Utterly ridiculous.
I am very excited about the move of twilight just not the move of harry potter i love both of the series so much and was looking forward to seeing both of my favourite things in filme only 3 weeks from eachother!
people stephenie did a great job i mean i would have liked a little more edge and action but it was still really good!
ok im happy that twilights comingout early. and i liked breaking dawn. ys it got alil boreing at times but all long books do. and with harry potter i love the movies and im sad ill have to wait longer to see it.
but hp and twilight have nothing in comman there to diff. books. hp is about a wisord who is try to be killed by another. an twilight is about love and romance yeah there both fic. but thats all. i hate when people compare them. both twilight and hp will make alot of money and they both will be great.
Okay, this is really starting to annoy me, people comparing twilight and harry potter, or SM and JKR, then saying twilight sucks, or harry potter sucks, blah blah bullsh*t, and just going back and forth getting mad over this, everyone has their opinion if you dont like twilight or if you do like twilight then good for you, same for harry potter. the only reason they’re saying it, is because of how much attention both series have gotten so for that be thankful for whichever series you prefer that it is popular enough to make it to the big screen. because both might have flaws, and everyone has opinions, comparing things that have nothing in common besides a huge fanbase is only going to led to arguing and insulting over the series’
Hmmmm, you know what i think, harry potter fans are threatened by twilights success and huge fanbase, seriously just enjoy your series while it last, cause all you have left to look forward to is the 2 movies, the last harry potter film sucked bad. [but the other movies 1-4 were alright btw] and of course your gunna say twilights gunna suck cause its stealing some of HPs thunder. lol. sry. but true. =/
Wow, “Twilight” fans really need to learn how to write a coherent sentence. Punctuation, people!
