Life just gets tougher and tougher for Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn, and Jason Bateman. Not only are these three men on their way to Bora Bora to film the Favreau-written, Peter Billingsley-directed Couples Retreat, but they’ve got a fine bunch of ladies headed to the Tahitian island with them. Malin Ackerman (27 Dresses) will head down to the island to play Vaughn’s wife; Kristen Bell (pictured) will portray Bateman’s spouse; and Kristin Davis will take on the role of Favreau’s significant other. The plot centers on four couples off to a tropical island vacation. One pair is there to work on their marriage, and the other three get sucked into the resort’s couple’s counseling. Faizon Love (The Parent ‘Hood) plays the husband of the fourth couple. Filming begins later this month. Scott Stuber is producing for Universal Pictures.

Kristin Bell is almost 28 or 29 and Jason Bateman is about 40. There is only 12 yrs difference between both and I think it is normal.
I agree Jenny and also, Kristin Davis isnt “young”, she may even be older than Favreau.

Davis is 1 year OLDER than Favreau.
Bell is 11 years younger than Bateman.
Ackerman is 8 years younger than Vaughn.
That’s hardly “at LEAST 20 to 25 years”, unless you add the differences together.
Thankfully, Seth Rogen finally sat out on a new comedy that’s in the works.
If it wasn’t for Davis, this would be a perfect cast.
kristen is awesome. Hope this comedy works out. Bateman is nice too ….. but i cannot help to think he’s way too old for her.
It’s not bad that Jason Bateman is 12 years older, but it’s weird that Kristen was just playing a HS student on Veronica Mars. That makes her seem much younger. Oh well. Good cast though.
I don’t know. Owen Wilson is 10 years older than Rachael McAdams and that seemed ok in Wedding Crashers. I think it will be fine. They will make a cute couple. Also, she is 28 and he is 39. It isn’t like they are 18 and 29 or something which might be a little bit odd.
It would be easier to believe Jason Bateman playing Kristin Bell’s FATHER.
