Twilight is a low budget film so harry potter fans can’t complain…Anyway I loved twilight and will more then likely see it again
I’m seeing this next week! (It doesn’t premier til the 26th here T.T) I’m coming prepared tho, not much to expect.. but I know I’m going to love it!
I’m a teen and I DON’T like Twilight. I didn’t like the book nor the movie. I feel like the only teenager who doesn’t like this angst-ridden, sparkly romance book.
Ok. If you don’t like the film, just say so and move over for those of us who does. We’re expecting great sales on this one so the next one can be made, ok? So if you don’t like it, that’s great, that’s all on you, everyone has an opinion and we’re not asking you to change your mind on it, just don’t beat down those of us who do like it.
Oh yeah, just another note, I love Harry Potter too, and was so looking forward to seeing it on it’s orignial date, Nov. 21, but seeing as how it was changed to next year July, I was disappointed. I’m still looking forward to seeing Harry Potter next year, but Twilight is something else altogether. I loved this film in it’s own right too, so don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. ~Go Team Edward~
I teach high school English, have read the series and went to a 7pm showing last night. The theatre was packed with screaming fans. Everyone loved it. I loved it. My girls–one in college, on in high school, loved it. We will all go see it again. I have students who will see it five, six times. This will not die out. I thought the book had cheesy parts as did the movie, which was cute and expected. It was a feel good movie–every girl’s dream.
ok. i loved it soo much when i saw it. and i still do. im a die hard fan. and im saying this to all the people who werent impressed; it had a low budget and if they didnt they would have put in all the scenes and change somethings. i loved it and soo did my 3 friends and my mom my grandma and my moms friend. ♥edward♥
Saw it last night with friends and family. Was disappointed with the filming, hoping if this makes enough $ that when the next one is made they can get a better director. The special effects were sad too. The acting wasn’t great, but I think there is room for approvement. While I didn’t care for it, someothers who were with me liked it. So I guess all I can say is, go check it out for yourself. I yes I still love the books.
IF YOU WANT TO LOVE THE MOVIE—and who doesn’t–Look for where the REAL MAGIC HAPPENS: IN THEIR EYES. Rob HAS mastered Edward in the eyes! The intensity of his love & desire for Bella is evident in his hypnotic fix as they are locked into each others gaze. BRILLIANT!
havent read the books, but went last night to watch the movie and all i can say is that it was AMAZING. Going to buy the books this weekend and start reading them
My best friend and I went to the midnight showing Thursday night, the theatre was packed. It has been a long time since I have been to a movie that had such an amazing feel good story to it. Everyone there loved the movie. I must say I was truly surprised at the amount of comedy. I was expecting more of a serious-love story but it was truly comicial as well. Can’t wait to go see it a few more times.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, waiting until the weekday. But so far from my friends and family who has seen it, they all have had different reactions. And oddly enough none if it had to do with their ages. Some loved it, others enjoyed, while a few were very disappointed in it. However, all of them hope that it makes enough money to see New Moon make it to the big screen…but with a bigger budget, done right. Curious to see how I feel about it.
The Twilight movie did not give justice to the book!
First, though, I would like to congratulate Kristen Stewart, the girl who played Bella. She was fit for the role.
As for the comments, primarily, the movie cut out parts which could have established the relationship between Bella and Edward. For instance, they didn’t establish the idea of the beauty of the Cullens (I guess they couldn’t since the Cullens WERE NOT stikingly beautiful!), and Bella’s idea that she was not beautiful compared to them.
Second, they left out the good-natured banter between the two. Edward and Bella just brooded all through out the movie.
Third, though Rob Pattinson is cute, yes, he is not strikingly handsome or otherworldly beautiful. He had so many angles which could not live up to the description in the book. The likes of Zac Efron, or Tom Welling’s features would have been justifiable.
Lastly, the makeup, the background sounds, and the direction were just awful even 4 their low budget
I saw the movie last night. I am a fan of the books, but not a teen. I went in not expecting much. Most of the reviews were not terribly good so I figured it would suck. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the movie and so did my mom who has not read the series. I did have to keep in mind the low budget because the special effects were cheesy, but hopefully Summit can put enough money into the next one to make the effects better. I was also surprised by Kristen Stewart. I expected her to be stiff and glum, but she was better than expected. Im planning on seeing it again next weekend.
As a book reader, I’m really surpised that Stephenie Meyer allowed this movie to represent Twilight to non readers…because now, they’ll probably opt to never read the book.
