'Sopranos' creator David Chase to make a movie about...rock 'n' roll?

New details have emerged about David Chase’s latest project. Now that the creator of The Sopranos has taken time off to "let all the debate about whether we screwed up the ending to The Sopranos die down so my mind could be clear and my confidence reinstated," Chase tells EW.com exclusively that he’s working on a feature script about music. "It is in the early stages, I am just writing," says Chase, who chatted with EW.com while walking the red carpet of the recent Producers Guild Awards. (He signed a deal with Paramount last spring to write, produce, and direct his first film.) "It is about rock ‘n’ roll," he says. "But that is about all I am comfortable saying at this point."

Making a film about music certainly makes sense for Chase, especially since he used to play a key role in choosing the music for the Sopranos’ closing credits. Just don’t expect any cameos from Tony Soprano; there are no plans to do a big-screen version of his Emmy-winning drama. "I won’t be writing about gangsters," he told EW back in November. I’ll definitely be interested in what Chase does next. By the way, I thought the Sopranos finale was perfect and legendary.

Hello David Chase, I know so many people have commented about things they saw in the Sopranos, but was that “Christopher” walking in the gas station, that they were stalking for Phil?
