I agree with the fact that people need to not feel so high and mighty when they are talking negatively about the Twilight or Harry Potter books for that matter. The thing is there are people who take different things from these books.
Plus people don’t seem to care what negative things you say about them. Say it all you want the people who love them, aren’t listening.
Yay!, yay!, yay!, and yay!
I’m anxious to see the next movie, “NEW MOON”. I’m so glad, I’ve already read the books, good luck to everyone of you in the next one.I love you guys!!!!
I don’t understand why the people who are talking negatively are even on this page. If you don’t like it why were you even looking at this book?
The books were the best and now the movies are coming out?! Yay! I can’t wait to see them!
well i don’t know but i think all of the twlight sega’s and the movi was awsome i felt every emtions that bella, and edward felt those r the best books i have ever read i luv it i just hpe sm keeps it going from the last book breaking dawn she needs to pick it up from there righty.
people are so annoying! twilight is one of the best books i have ever read and i agree the movie could’ve been a lot better but there was no way it could’ve been just like the book. so get over it cuz u couldnt have done a better job urself so shut up!!
Wow. So EW finally did post a bit about the Stephen King quote… and now it has mysteriously disappeared from the site. I guess it’s true that EW refuses to allow anything negative about the Twilight series.
The way people get so rabid about someone expressing their opinion, including when an opinion is that the books suck, is hilarious. This is a public forum, not a Twilight fansite. People can bash the books all they want. I’m glad Stephen King stated the obvious in an interview. He wasn’t half as mean as he could’ve been. I’ve read interviews with the cast of the movie and they also seem to suggest even THEY think the books are silly.
I am an older woman and found great enjoyment in reading the Twilight Series and even seeing the movie. I found it exciting, intriging, passionate
I found myself loving Bella and Edward
I just finished reading the series for the second time. It will be one of my favorites.
It’s funny that people come here to judge and underestimate stephenie’s work and they don’t even sign their comments!so, “Wed, Feb 4, 2009 at 12:56 PM EST” i don’t want to know your opinion about the books I should buy or not. You read them, you didn’t enjoy. Great, trow the in the fireplace to save some wood when it gets cold, eat them or give them to someone who wants to try the twilight saga. Did you notice that people are differente, and have different tastes and points of view? i bet you didn’t notice that fact! so congratulations you gave your opinion fine, then go read some newspaper and let us scream and go hysterical for the things WE love, ok?
I’M A TWILIGHTER AND I’M PROUD OF IT!
ANOTHER THING:
Wed, Feb 4, 2009 at 03:07 PM EST, since you don’t have a name either (really i don’t know why you are shy to tell us a name) wow you know that stuff just because you saw some interviews! but you did saw them! hilarious, you all guys don’t like, but you spend time watching and comment and gossip and being mean, and disrespectful with people who really enjoy the saga. WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM ANYWAY? go read what you like to read, god damn it, people are different from each other!
I think that its good that there is a book out there that is making teens read again! How often do you see someone who can talk about literature? Reading is something falling away fast and anything that gets someone to pick up a book and enter another world exploring the story is good. So what if its about vampires and has brought on all the hysteria AT LEAST TEENS ARE READING AGAIN! How about not bashing them for their venture and encouraging exploring other stories other authors. Seriously people it may not be the best thing ever written in your opinion but at least its getting others to read and possibly explore something else!
I think People are allowed to express their feelings however they choose. I also think that you should never knock anything until you try it first. I would like to send a shout out to Stephanie Meyer for giving us this beautiful vampire love story. I love to revisited it all the time. Way to go Stephanie.
Dani – clearly the Twilight series has done tremendous things for your reading comprehension and vocabulary. What’s with twihards cursing everytime somebody disagrees with their opinion? This is exactly what I’m talking about. It’s one thing to like a book. The level of “passion” some fans achieve is kinda silly. I read the books. I saw the movie. I don’t think any of it is worthy of this hype. This is a public forum. It’s okay if I come on here and say so. People argue about movies and books on here all the time. It’s OKAY to have an opinion besides the one you have. You love Twilight. Fine. I’m still confused as to how a book that has its brand slapped on BODY GLITTER qualifies as good lit. That’s fine too. I think it’s fabulous that teens are reading, but I think they were reading long before Twilight came about. Love, Anon 3:07 PM EST.
