Widespread Internet chatter that Madonna may participate in some capacity in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, may be only partly true, a source close to the production tells EW. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the movie series, has no plans to cast the pop star and sometime actor in New Moon. However, because Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, is a producer on the project, there is some talk of her providing songs for the sequel. Still, no deals have been made yet, and the plans haven’t progressed beyond the that’d be cool stage. (Reporting by Christine Spines)

mary i dont think you truly realize what madonna could bring to the movie. especially on the soundtrack. shes not all dance pop music. “i’ll remember” was the only reason i ever saw ‘with honors’.

You know, it would be very interesting. I find this story way better than the Jonas Brothers trying to do anything with it.
Please don’t ruin the New Moon soundtrack by adding Madonna. I DON’T see the connection at all. Just because her husband is on the project doesn’t mean she should be on the soundtrack. Keep New Moon Madonna-free!

I don’t think Twilight fans, tweens or not, want Jonas Brothers/HSM people/even Madonna. Of course Madonna is an amazing performer and entertainer, but not unless she pulls out some goodies circa “Ray of Light” will the Twilight crowd be happy with her addition on the soundtrack. I think that fans are freaking out that Summit is willing to throw a piece of the Twilight pie to anyone on the A, B, or even C list. Let’s just hope that Chris Weitz pulls it all together or Summit will probably be burned to the ground by a million fangirls.
