Of course it’s a hoax. The deadline for ballots hadn’t been reached when this “leak” occured. Only an idiot would think it’s real. Oh right, look who’s blogging.
This is hardly the “Best Oscar Hoax ever…” The letter did not even appear legitimate. Why would the president of the Academy ever send a memo like that, especially in such an informal format? “The Reader” and “In Bruges” winning the screenplays? Only desperate Oscar junkies would jump at something so fake as that.
Wish part of this list was correct, PARTICULARLY the first one. Rourke should have won, but this group of voters would tend to choose the “Milk” subject matter over something as physical and emotionally intense movie as “The Wrestler”. What a sham!

I was sincerely surprised when Meryl Streep didn’t win. The Oscars are becoming one big sham, it’s really a shame to see such an excellent performance like Meryl’s go home without an award.
