But, Chris Weitz did an AMAZING job on New Moon! How could he pass up Eclipse?! He would make it just fantastic! New Moon was the hard one (beacause its so depressing) and you saw how he did that! Just try & IMAGINE what Chris Weitz could do with Eclipse!!!!
Im glad there will be a new director. I also hope that Eclipse will be rated R. Im so sick of the pg 13 bullshit. I have read the whole Twilight Saga and my perception is way different than both of the past two directors. If Eclipse is rated R, the money intake may be less but oh well.
Well that’s just ridiculous!! How could you not keep him on as director? I am so impressed with how well New Moon was done. Thank you from all of the readers. You got it right! This movie was such a fantastical tribute to this series as well as the author. Not only did you keep the movie true to the book, you also NAILED the characters!! That is exactly how most of us invisioned them. The interaction between Bella, Jacob and Edward was spot on!! I love the humor that was thrown in there. It really made the characters more personable. I think that’s what was missing from the first movie. It didn’t capture the true essence of who each of them were. If Summit doesn’t keep Weitz on for the rest of the series, it will be a real tragedy. No movie is ever as good as the book. In this case…I don’t agree. You can ask anyone who has read and seen both movies so far. This movie was AMAZING!! I truely hope that Weitz continues to direct the series. It was like he knew exactly how we all saw the movie playing out in our heads and brought it to the big screen. I only hope that Eclipse is done with the same enthusiasm. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

good. i dont like the way that new moon was done it looked fake not original like twilight was. It was good but change the clothes contacts back the way they where!

They should not have made the movies so close together then….because Chris Weitz absolutely made New Moon much more fabulous then Twilight ever was….he is an awesome director…and I was sad to hear this news.
Ugh!!!! I can’t believe that they are changing directors again!!! I really liked new moon and Chris is a way better director then that Catherine hardwick person she like totally ruined twilight for me!!!! The third one better be good or I’m going to cry
ok I just found out that the new director is this new guy David slade or something and he has only directed like 5 movies none that I ever heard of. This is so messed up!!!! They should get an experienced director for a series loved by so many people!!!! I hope they change their minds
