Watchmen may have only just crossed $100 million domestically, but the film’s underwhelming box office doesn’t seem to have diluted Warner Bros.’ faith in director Zack Snyder (300). The studio has already signed on to distribute his next movie: Sucker Punch. “All the studio has ever said to me is, ‘We are proud of Watchmen,
we think it’s awesome and we stand behind it,’” Snyder tells EW.com “They’ve never said, ‘Ahh,
it could have been shorter,’ or, ‘Too bad it’s so R-ish.’ And that’s really
cool. I’m challenging them again with Sucker Punch.” The film will be another hard-R-rated experience, this time starring a cast of young women, including Vanessa Hudgens, Evan Rachel Wood, Emma Stone, Abby Cornish and Emily Browning in the lead role. According to Snyder, the actresses, who play a group of insane asylum inmates, are all close to finalizing their deals. “They are all super excited because they get to play these juicy, mentally difficult roles, plus they get to fight,” he says. “We need to get the deals done because they’ve got a lot of fight training to do.”

I can’t wait for Zack Snyder’s new movie. I think he is a brilliant director and I LOVE his movies. Watchmen was awesome and it so should have done better in the box office, but whatever. Aside from Vanessa Hudgens, he seems to have an amazing cast for Sucker Punch and I am extremely excited for his next masterpiece!
I’m glad he chose such an ecletic group of ladies! This is why I want to see this movie. I can’t wait to see them kick some ass!!!

He obviously chose Vanessa to be a part of the cast for a reason. He doesnt seem like a guy who chooses people based on popularity (even though she is). She must be quite good for the role. Im sure she will be amazing.

Not a fan of Snyders at all, mainly cuz I’m a comic book fan & don’t like how he seems to try to hard….But will def see this one for Vanessa, she is smoooookin’ hot!

Watchmen was fantastic, it doesn’t matter what the box office was, let’s not forget that Shrek the Third made $300 million and that movie was a total piece of s**t.
