Jonah Hill and Russell Brand will be joined by Rose Byrne (Damages), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), and Sean Combs in the Forgetting Sarah Marshall sequel, Get Him to the Greek, which is scheduled to begin shooting this summer. The movie, from Universal Pictures, centers on Brand’s outrageous character from Marshall, the out-of-control British rock star Aldous Snow, and Aaron, a music-company intern (Hill, in a different role from the one he played in Marshall) who must accompany Snow to a concert at L.A.’s Greek Theater. Moss is set to play Daphne Binks, Aaron’s girlfriend, while Byrne will be in the role that Emily Blunt was once incorrectly rumored to have, that of a promiscuous pop musician named Jackie Q, who may perform a duet with Snow. Combs has been cast as Sergio, the head of the entertainment company for which Hill’s character works. Writer/director Nicholas Stoller (Marshall) will direct this followup, based on a screenplay he also penned. Judd Apatow is producing.

So, are we just supposed to pretend that Jonah Hill didn’t play a totally different character in Sarah Marshall? I hate it when the PTB do that. (I’m looking at you, Dick Wolf and 90210/Melrose people.)
I totally agree with Brody, especially when you consider Jonah Hill’s character in “Sarah Marshall” was SO directly tied to Aldous Snow (he was hilariously obsessed with him). Now we’re supposed to pretend he’s a completely different person? Fail!
Yea, they could have just made Hill’s character become a intern and then have to deal with the rock star who spurned him; that would explain why it’s the same actor and also add a bit of animosity in their relationship.
