I like the idea of Sharon Stone, she mautre enough to be Kay. Remeber Kay is a doctor but she also has a legal background.
Noooo! Angelina could maybe play Lucy, but Scarpetta??? Absolutely wrong choice.
Angie is the perfect choice!!! She is smart, believable, action star. Ya she is a little young to play Kay but there are a lot of books. If this turns into a James Bond type enterprise then a younger actress makes sense. She’ll be able to do many movies. It is perfect for me. My favourite actress playing one of my favourite author’s heroines. I think she should do J.D.Robb’s futuristic cop too!!
I think Angie should be in it but as Lucy or Berger instead, she would be much more suited to either of those characters. But I agree with the complaints of basing the film on a specific book, though, the thought of having to make 18 and more films would be excruciating. Maybe they could put 2 or 3 books into 1 film, but that’s still bound to take its toll. Patty C is a genius, and it would be a shame to watch 20 years of writing be spoiled.
Please not Angelina Jolie – she could never be Kay Scarpetta.
Jolie would be all wrong for the role of Scarpetta! Scarpetta is a complex person and a blonde, and Jolie is about as complex as dishwater, and she’s defintely NOT A BLONDE!!!! Get it togeather, people! Jennifer Love-Hewitt is a better choice for portraying Scarpetta.

Well gee wiz. Looks like 20 years of trying to get this off the ground and now proposing Jolie as Scarpetta (not my favorite choice) may be too late. Looks like Body of Proof may just go ahead a do a Scarpetta-like series. Good for them. Also, another choice for the Scarpetta movie should be Sasha Alexander. Of course, I have campaigned for Jodie Foster for years on this, but I guess it is not to be.
I’m thinking Jodie Foster as Kay Scarpetta. Did no one bother to consider her? I think she’s she right age and she has the complexity.
I might be a fan of Ms. Jolie but her being cast for the roll would throw the movie in a different direction, we all have are opinion of who it should be. I think that Ashley Judd or that new Investigater on CSI New York would be a good choice.
I’ve always invisioned Jean Smart as Scarpetta.
I can picture the actress from glee the one that plays the phys Ed coach Sue … She has the same hair style & colour & she’s sassy & confident … Can’t really picture Angelina… It was like Tom hanks in davinci code ..I like him but not as Robert Langdon .
I am super excited to see these books some to the screen! I think Angelina will make an amazing Kay Scarpetta! But who will play Benton???
I know iv already mentioned this but iv just looked up sue sylvester aka Jane lynch from the glee series & she’s 50 which is closer in age as well. I have nothing against Angelina but a few of us think she would make a better lucy farinelli … Check out jane lynch her only downfall cld be that she’s a comedienne as well
Mariska Hargitay would be great as Scarpetta.
