This has ruined everything I have ever pictured in my head. I like Jlie but NOOOOOO. I always thought a Meg Ryan type for Scarpetta and John Goodman for Marino.

I think Demi Moore would be a better choice for Scarpetta, I agree that Angelina would not have been my first choice, but hopefully she’ll do well in the roll. I do hope that they actually make the series though, instead of just a new movie. I’d love to see the whole series brought to life!

Geez, I just cant stand the thought of Angelina playing Kay. I’m a huge fan of Patricia, and this just isn’t right. Uma Thurman, Kathleen Zeta Jones. Most anyone else. Angelina is just Bradgelina. I’m tired of her. Please reconsider.
In my mind I had always pictured someone a bit harder looking. When I read the books I have in my head the following: Marino, the guy who played the dad in the Wonder Years. Benson:

UGGGH…why why why? Aside from the fact that I am sooo sick of Angelina Jolie and want her to go away forever, she is also the WORST possible casting. Scarpetta is smart, classy, refined, brilliant and elegant…in other words NOT at all like Angelina Jolie

I have never felt the need to comment until now….NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! She is sooooo wrong for this part. I have read all of the Scarpetta books and always imagined Sigourney Weaver in the role. Scarpetta is not about sex but intelligence.
when I think of her I always picture the gal that was the medical examiner on Homicide Life on the street. Wish I knew her name but she was a great actor and I would like to see her again.
Every is right, she is so wrong for the Kay part. You need someone who can play and look the part she is not the one. She does great in Adventure movies, but not this…no way.
Oh, for heaven’s sake–stop all the whining and Angelina bashing!!! She is TOTALLY AWESOME and can make any role she chooses believable. Quit hating and maybe things in your own sorry hateful lives will change, too!
