Christian Bale in a boring SFX mess…or Amy Adams in a tight flight suit. Hmmm…..tough choice….I’ll go for Night At The Museum 2.

    Terminator-Salvation: $75-80M
Night at The Museum will be lucky to make $40-45M

    Sundance,
I see what you’re talking about with Amy Adams giving off the Nicole Kidman. That’s because this is what Nicole Kidman USED to look like (in her red-headed glory) before she decided to cryogenically preserve her face.
As far as the weekend, I actually agree with this post. (And other than COMPLETELY forgetting about “Wolverine” last week, Nicole has been dead on with her picks.)
I think Night at the Museum will take the weekend. It’s a BIG family film, “Star Trek” will snatch some of the audience for “Terminator”, and the IMAX factor will help put “Night at the Museum” over the top. That being said, I expect “Terminator” to take Friday (the evening screenings will be packed with the fanboys/Terminator buffs) and I expect NATM to dominate the rest of the holiday weekend.
I’m not saying a likely Ben Stiller crapfest dominating at the BO is a good thing…I’m just saying it’s probably what’s going to happen.

I would of like to have seen Dance Flick, but I’ll going to see the new Terminator movie instead.

We all thought The Pink Panther 2 would be a hit, unfortuatly it wasn’t, although I LOVED IT! I hope Night At The Museum TANKS BIG TIME! I hate Ben Stiller, but LOVE Amy Adams…..Especially in Enchanted & Doubt!

Night Museum ticket sales will get a boost if the line to Terminator become too long for some moviegoers. I think most moviegoers will want to see Terminator as their first choice. I just saw Terminator Salvation and it really rocks. It’s a great departure from the regular “Hollywood action adventure”. It’s excitement and action (plus the effects are incredible). Sam Worthington is definitely the next big thing.

The first Night at the Museum was ok at best. I don’t expect much from this second one except for more of the same. Not bad but not enough to keep me away from Terminator. This new Terminator Salvation is definitely a step forward and a bit different from the old T movies. It’s gonna be amazing!!!! It’s like what Batman Begins did to the Batman franchise.

I would say Night at the Museum 2, but it hasn’t had as much marketing as Terminator. Plus Terminator is the first real PG-13 (that really helps) gun ho action film of the Summer. Star Trek was sci-fi, and Wolverine was a superhero movie, so that’s why I say Terminator is the first real action movie.
    1. Terminator Salvation: 88 million
    2. Night at the Museum 2: 81 million
    3. Star Trek: 34 million
    4. Angels and Demons: 21 million
    5. Obsessed: 9 million

Terminator is sci-fi. So I guess we’re still waiting for the first “real” action movie of the summer. (rolls eyes)

terminator salvation is going to leave night at the museum 2 in the dust. T4 came out on thursday which means its got a head start so by monday it should have more than night at the museum 2 and terminator in general is waaaaaaay better than night at the museum
