I think the record has to go to Basic Instinct 2. It opened at 3 million, and was out of theatres the next Friday, at least where I live. I hope Sharon Stone got her 17 million dollar salary up front, lol.
Apatow’s reach far exceeds his grasp. Back to the crap that he does best.
Saw it and it was like a bad wannabe Woody Allen movie from 1979 or so. This is what happens when people like Apatow start to take themselves too seriously. It would be like Britney Spears deciding that she wanted to be the next Ella Fitzgerald – nice aspiration but no way would or could that ever even come close to happening. Stick to the dumbed-down comedies, Judd.
I ve failed to access my mails.Would you kindly help me.
I saw HBP in IMAX and it was worth every penny! I love this movie! I do want to see Funny People, but not as bad as I wanted to see Appatow’s other movies so I might check it out eventually.
FLOP!
It’s about time.
Apatow and his overrated cast have worn out their welcome. Apatow’s movies are funny but nowhere near being considered great comedies. The media is overblowing the hype of his movies and the career of Seth Rogen, who shouldn’t be more than a supporting actor. I dare ask, why is Seth Rogen in a movie called Funny People? This movie is one of those you put on your Netflix que, you never let it actually ship, and a year later you watch the movie on HBO and find yourself happy that you have a better movie waiting in your mailbox to make you forget this mediocre movie.
Easy on the Funny People bashing. I saw it last night and it was pretty funny, even with the near death experience storyline.
Didn’t find the commercials or the previews funny. Not one I will see.
I watched Funny People yesterday and liked it a lot. Not sure why everyone seems to be panning it so much. Best thing was .. no one else was in the theatre
I saw the movie and it was disappointing to see Adam Sandler in a film that was very crude. I will no longer be seeing any SEth Rogen films because all he seems to focus on is sodomy and the male anatomy…a strong clue that he doesn’t really have natural/strong comedic talent like Jim Carrey, for example. Jim Carrey doesn’t have to be crude to be funny and it seems that Seth Rogen is so weak as a comedian that he has to resort to crudeness in a weak attempt to be funny.
