By now about a million of you have seen The Informant!, the fifth collaboration between Matt Damon and Steven Soderbergh as actor and director. In the last installment of our OscarWatch interview (check out Part 1 and Part 2 as well), Damon talks about how the Oscar-winning filmmaker guided him through the comedy’s most pivotal scenes. Watch the video after the jump, and don’t forget to follow me on Twitter (@davekarger) for updates all season long.
More OscarWatch interviews:

I can’t wait to see this movie on Wednesday. I was listening to Bob Jones Weekend and they were telling this incredibly captivating story and I thought, “wow this would make a great movie.” Turns out they were talking about the Informant. If it’s as good as all of the reviews say and follows the source material, I think I’m going to be really entertained.
Saw The Informant yesterday. I would never call this movie a ‘comedy.’ I only heard a couple of light chuckles from the audience but that was pretty much it. I’ve heard more laughter in a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western and they were never peddled as ‘comedies’. Matt Damon was terrific and he carried the picture. His acting was so much better than the story. My friends and I discussed the movie on our way home. All of us were confused through most of it. We did not know what was true and what was lies. I kept wishing they would stop the movie from time to time to tell us what the heck was going on. None of us even knew what the three corporate guys went to prison for. Was it price fixing or taking kickbacks? I can’t say that I enjoyed this movie, because it was too difficult to figure out. I just found it to be completely ‘bumfuzzeling’.
I generally HATE Matt Damon but I thought this movie was good. I had to think about it for a while before I liked it though.
