Saw wasn’t groundbreaking! It’s merely the other side of Se7en if it choose to follow the victims of Kevin Spacey rather than Freeman and Pitt. Yawn…
Other than the original, these movies suck. However, Lions Gate is a minor company that makes or distributes some challenging, lower budget films. If the Saw movies can be a guaranteed cash flow for them, whats the harm? No one HAS to watch them (other than critics unfortunately).
