No September Issue? I’m sad. I loved that movie.
I pick Food Inc.
Really great.
What about September Issue???
BURMA VJ! should win not least because of the courage that went into producing this incredible documentary
The Beaches of Agnes…yesssss!! I would give anything to see Ms Varda strolling up to the podium to collect this award, and have the Academy recognise one of film’s true great geniuses.
I’m sad The September Issue didn’t make the cut. Maybe it was dismissed as being too lightweight as it concerns the fashion world (unlike the politic-heavy shortlist). If so, it’s a disappointing move as The September Issue has much to say about fashion’s role today and showed one of the most captivating work relationshiops: Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington.
No Anvil and No Capitalism nominations are possible but Chipmunks 2 has a shot at an Oscar? What the hell kind of system are they using?
What about “Earth Days”?
SORRY NOT A MICHAEL MORON FAN BUT I DID LIKE SICKO.
I´ll go with Food inc!! Great documentary!
I’m worried that the Oscar show will be much longer and boring now that 10 entries are enter for each category. I mean, just reading the 10 documentaries nominated seem tedious and drawn out.
There are 10 nominees in ONLY Best Picture. All other categories stay basically the same as they were.
What about The September Issue?!
I love all the comments by Conservatives who are against Michael Moore. They hate it when someone shows them for the greedy, racist, hate-filled xenophobes that they are.
or maybe people are sick of him yelling at doors and security guards as well as showing up to film scenes at the crack of dawn when places are not even open yet and then pretending like thats not the case? Yes michael moore, we get it, capitalism is bad. How much money does he make for his drivel?
I was sad to see Tyson not make the cut. Though Food Inc. was excellent.
Let’s just create a rule that you can’t comment on the quality of a work, artist, politician, etc. if you are vehemently opposed to their politics, such that your objectivity is completely compromised. I.e., only those who agree with Michael Moore politically have the ability to judge his work.
Yay for Every Little Step!
I saw Burma VJ and really liked it.
