Lionsgate to release latest Eli Roth horror flick

Lionsgate has announced that it will distribute Eli Roth’s (Hostel) latest horror movie The Last Exorcism. The film, which Roth produced along with Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham, was directed by newcomer Daniel Stamm and centers on a Reverend who invites a film crew to document his final fraudulent days as an exorcist. His faith is tested when a possessed girl (Ashley Bell) brings him face-to-face with the devil. Lionsgate has not yet decided on a release date for this psychological thriller. Lionsgate and Roth previously partnered on Roth’s two “torture porn” Hostel flicks.

Oh noes! Considering how the last episode of ‘Vampire Diaries’ had me watching through a crack in my closet door, I don’t think I’ll be gunning to see this…

Oh, dear lord. Not this guy again.

I don’t know if you guys know this but he is the “Bear Jew” in Inglourious Basterds.

Why? Seriously…why? What entertainment value is there in watching someone having their eye gouged out, or being slowly sliced apart? What is the matter with the people who watch this stuff? Seriously. You’re sick, whoever you are.

IMO the heading of this article should be changed ASAP. It leads the reader to believe that Roth directed the film being released, when in actuality he is just a producer. I’d say “Eli Roth-Produced Horror Flick” instead of what’s posted.

yes “the Dude” u r tight, but assuming Eli Roth is already known, and by the fact he was one of the relevant characters in INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, it’s more atractive to have him in the headline. As I am journalist myself I tell u this is the reason, of course it’s kinda tricky, but u know it’s all about PR!

I meant to write “you are right”. people will be more open to read this news, because he is the headline, but I gotta say I thought he was the director, it was the same with Peter Jackson and District 9 news….he wasn’t the director, but his name helped the film a lot (it was one of the best sci-fi pictures I have ever seen by the way!).

I’m so there, Bear Jew FTW!
