I cannot look at Bradley Cooper without thinking about how his character broke his neck on Nip/Tuck and it makes me chuckle every time.
he was doing tv, now he’s doing movies.
He can turn down jobs.
He’s done a play(s) on Broadway (with Julia Roberts). He makes a living.
Sounds like success to me.
Not every movie needs to be ‘highbrow’
to be considered successful.
Bradley Cooper has a likeable enough screen presence. He’ll be fine in comedies and light adventures a la McConaughey. However, I’m not sure how well he’d do in a heavy drama. If you picture him in something like Hurt Locker, There Will Be Blood, etc., you’d no longer be able to take the film seriously and you’d get a lot of unintended laughter. He has more gravitas than Ashton Kutcher or Owen Wilson, but that does not make him Daniel Day-Lewis or De Niro.
I agree with DW. He did show some sense by getting himself far away from McG.
The Hangover was Wall-to-Wall funny; a lot funnier than Wedding Crashers. Midnight Meat Train was ok, but B. Cooper was excellent in the film. He can do drama, but how good remains to be seen. He may have another good year monetary-wise, but critically it’ll be a downer. May The Hangover 2 not be as awful as I fear. Sometimes a good thing is best left alone.
Reese WItherspoon and McG deserve to have a co-star worthy of their talent. Bradley Cooper…please! He’s not charming…he’s smarmy!ICK!
Reese Witherspoon is the most overrated actor on the face of the planet. Honestly. What movie has she been in that was good? What movie has she BEEN GOOD IN? She’s not even worth the space she takes up on Perez Hilton. Hopefully she will drop out of this movie too. It makes me SICK that she gets all this recognition. There are so many people with better acting chops.
