Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan pairing up for a buddy comedy flick from director Kevin Smith seems like a good idea on paper. Read the full post.

Although I personally gave it a 6 last week on IMDB.com (if they had half ratings, I would have bumped it to 6.5), I was surprised to see the CinemaScore was just C+. IMDB is listing the average rating at 8.3, with its current ranking as #191 on their list of top-250-rated films of all time. Just curious about the discrepancy.

Forgot to say I was talking about “Shutter Island”. Yikes, time to go to sleep now! :)

The Crazies will come in number one, then Shutter Island, then Cop Out. I love how the media underestimates horror films. Everyone is loving the trailers for it.

At boxofficepredict.com, our statistical model predicts Cop Out to open at $20.1m and The Crazies at $14.8m – pretty close to Nicole’s estimates.

      I agree with that.

Now so many people seem to hate Avatar that I’m actually going to say it’s underrated!

I think a lot of people are hating on it to seem cool and anti-establishment. If it wasn’t so popular, they wouldn’t look twice at it. For all the bashing, someone must be seeing it…

Of course people are seeing it, it’s just that once you get past the eye popping 3D, it’s just a mediocre story we’ve already seen hundreds of times, and much better at that. There’s no hidden agenda, it’s just not a particularly good movie. But my admission price still counts toward its box office tally, even though I’d like that money back.

Gwen sounds like a hater. I find 2 things about avatar, 1. its dialogue is better then star wars (first one/4), 2. The graphics are so amazing no one pays attention to the little things (excluding dialogue). If it didn’t have the great visuals no one would be complaining about the script. It would be like every other action movie (ie transformers).

Come on people! no one wants to see indie art films! Except for you people on this site. AMericans want to see big budget movies that are actually good. The 3D part of Avatar really had nothing to do with it. A lot of people could care less about 3D. It was still an awesome movie. You people probaly like citizen kane as well dont you? Horribly boring movie! And who gives a crap about Gone with the Wind or any other movie. You baby boomers and super movies nerds mean nothing any more. America is about casual, has anyone heard of somthing called a Nintendo WII? For casual gamers and its a huge success. Screw Crazy Heart and up in the Air!

    • mike

Yeah, what Ryan said! I don’t care about no acting or plot, just let me see stuff blow up real good! Now in 3D, I don’t have to think at all, not that I ever did. Screw stuff like Citizen Kane, all that people talking, making my brain hurt. Give me The Rock whipping some ass or blue aliens taking it to the man! We don’t need no talky boring crap, just give Brett Ratner and Michael Bay all the money they want and get out of the way, then you’ll see some true casual genius!

      • Jose

Ryan and Mike you guys are f*cking idiots! I’m a teen yet I would rather spend my money on something with a plot instead of idiots like Micheal Bay and co. blowing stuff up! How can you not enjoy Citizen Kane?!? And maybe you’re brains are hurting from watching stupid movies like “Transformers 2″ and stuff like that. Morons.

      • mIKE

Jose, I think mike(not me, other mike) was being jokey. Plus citizen kane does suck. Remember the snow globe scene? He says rose bud, drops the snow globe, and the lady walks in to see him dead. Wait a sec! The whole movie is about him saying rose bud but no one was in the room to hear it. Strange…

The Crazies will be stronger then you think
