With all the hubbub surrounding the former Shark Boy, you would think Taylor Lautner’s got a wide-open schedule. But even with negotiations still active on how Breaking Dawn plays out on the big screen, Lautner is still likely to only fit in one film before the final Twilight chapter begins filming. How will he spend his limited amount of free time? It looks like it will be on the hot script Abduction if the studio can land a director before Lautner is required to don the werewolf fangs again. From first-time screenwriter Shawn Christensen, Abduction, which went to Lionsgate after a heated two-week bidding war, is being fast-tracked and the studio is frantically searching for a hot, young director to helm this action-adventure that reads like a teenage Bourne Identity. If, however, Lionsgate can’t secure the director in time, Lautner will remain a producer on the film and they will have to find another hot, young thing to star. Interestingly, Northern Lights, the movie that first propelled Lautner’s asking price up to $7.5 million and therefore stalled negotiations on Abduction, is definitely moving forward without the teen star. Lautner has parted ways with that project as well as Paramount’s Max Steel, which he had dropped out of in exchange for Stretch Armstrong, both of which have a long development track ahead.

Well, this is amazingly interesting since teen stars seem- to usually depend on others to help out, good luck Lautner.
this article pretty much states you have no idea what his next job is, this will shoot if he has time, hes signing on to projects and dropping projects left and right
let me get this right, first he drops northern lights which seemed to be the only one of his “projects” to have a descent script/plot. then he drops max steel for the i’m sure to be fantastic :/ stretch armstrong. nice acting future head for this guy for sure.
All these other roles he’s playing while ‘Twilight’ is still hot sound awful. As soon as his role in the Twilight series is finished, his career will stop dead. He cannot act, his body won’t stay hot, and his face isn’t much to write home about and will only get uglier with age. Expect to see him on ‘Celebrity Rehab’ in 10 years folks.
regardless of talent this kid should sign as many projects as possible if they all flop, he can retire a very rich boy
When are they going to realize that he can’t act?
he has the tween girls brain washed with his abs but thats all he has
Don’t forget that face.
Ditching Max Steel for Stretch Armstrong cements his fate. He won’t go far beyond where he is now and after Abduction and that Stretch Armstong ish flops, he won’t be getting $7.5 million for anything…ever.
Maybe there is something that we don’t know about the Max Steel thing. Taylor is not ignorant. He is basking in the glow of his Twilight success, and taking on new opportunities. Even I admittedly am hesitant about the whole Stretch Armstrong thing, but we shall see on that front. The Bourne thing sounds promising though. Taylor is in one of those positions where he needs to make wise choices. I hope his dad is helping him out with this. I see potential in him. And not just based on his body.
