Best way to get message to ABC is to contact their sponsors (advertising) and let them know how you feel. The following companies are supposed to have advertising during the Oscars show (per NY Times):
McDonalds
Bertolli
J.C. Penney
Coca-Cola
Hyundai Motor America
Microsoft
Cottonelle (Kimberly-Clark)
Intel
Ameriprise
OxiClean (Church & Dwight)
The Hershey Company
Samsung Electronics
Apparently, ABC/Disney is charging about $1.4 million to $1.5 million for a 30-second ad during the 3 hour Oscars broadcast. It seems that there is a commercial break at least every 10 – 15 minutes with about 3 or 4 commercials. You can do the math.
