look do any of you like it when your personal details of life get put on blast,i know some of you have gone through a bad breakup or divorce,that being said should help you understand just what might be going on in his head,sure you can say he”s a racist,a hyocrite,homophobic,misogynist. but lets say you had a bad day with your boss who might be a women or a african american man,and that boss gave you one of the worst days of your life,what r you going to feel like, most people feel inraged,when a person is pushed over that line,you know that line the one right before you lose your mind,now some of you go to happy hour drink the anger away but dering that process you still pour out all kinds evil about that person,or perhaps you go home and do what we all do,vent and say all manner of evil,all im trying to say is we are all guilty of the same thing,so you can cast your stones at him all day long,judge him,hate him, just remember that we are all living in glass houses.ocsana may may not be a women of good character i mean a person just dos not become anraged for nothing she knows him, and she knows what sets him off, and to record it and release it to the press thats just not playing fair,all im saying is never judge a book by its cover

It irks me to see people placing the blame on Oksana and saying she ‘incited’ him in some way to act as he did. Whatever is going on between them, his actions cannot be justified. He clearly has serious mental issues. Tom Cruise’s behavior permanently colored my opinion of him as a human being, and I no longer watch his movies. I have no plans to support Mel Gibson in his future endeavors with my $. (Yes, I’m aware he doesn’t need it as he is filthy rich). I hope he gets the help he needs with his mental problems.

All he did is use bad language to tell her what he thinks of her. He could have expresssed the very same views in less colorful ways and no-one would react at all. But being the highly emotive person he is, he did not. Gosh. Bad man!

Ms. Schwarzbaum, I’m amazed how a Jew, can overlook Gibson’s extreme antisemitism (let alone his misogyny and racism) by continuing to support his work. His loathsome “Passion” film (which an earlier idiot poster maintained “expressed his apparently deeply held religious views” depicted Jews as hooknosed, conniving Christ killers, should have been denounced overwhelmingly by critics and audiences when it came out. In your fervor to appear erudite and cooler than the rest of us, I fear you are terribly misguided. People’s support for Gibson and Polanski because they are “artists” is a sad commentary on our society. Shame on you.

I think Mel Gibson has managed to insult every race, gender, religion, and even species both on and off the screen. He’s just overacting, being histronic, that’s his style. Gotta love his passion. He’s probably said bad things about dingos and kangaroos too.

This whole thing is hogwash. If famous people were paid in coorelation for how respected they were, Mother Teresa would have died a billionaire. The truth is, we reward the products produced by TALENT. Mel seems like a real asshole in his personal life. (at least sometimes anyway…aren’t we all once and awhile?) But why should I care when it comes to loving his movies? Mel Gibson has created and participated in some of the greatest films in cinematic history. His MOVIES are wonderful and we support his MOVIES. Who he is personally really shouldn’t matter. Aren’t we religious people taught to forgive anyway? And aren’t we religious people taught to “love the sinner and not the sin”? To me, Mel has made some serious mistakes in his personal life but those mistakes affect how I view his movies to NO DEGREE. When it comes to star power, Mel is, and will always be, at the top of my list

I think he’s getting older, he’s depressed and he is insecure. I am NOT excusing his behavior, but does this really make him any different than any other spoiled, rich celeb? I say no. And just because they’re in the public eye doesn’t make them worse than any other jerk that we all have met in our own lives. Pathetic, yes. But make up your own mind.
