Spot six went to the much-hyped, rarely viewed R-rated B movie, Piranha 3-D. Bowing to $10 million, the over-the-top bloody mess didn’t score that well with audiences, earning only a C from CinemaScore.
What the hell is Cinemascore… I only go by RottenTomatoes — over 80 % positive as of 8/23

I loved this movie and you guys are right people just did not get it! I talked 5 of my friends into seeing it with me and I told them its meant to be campy and not to be taken seriously..None of them even knew what Campy meant!..But i hope it has some legs and makes some more money..My friends all loved it tho!!
That movie showed more boobs than Piranhas. It should of been called, “TITS 3D.” LOL!!!! Looking forward to the sequel.

I’m not surprised at all. In fact, the day the preview trailer came out I laid a bet that it would flop and would get a sequel anyway. heh, guess who got a free lunch? Here’s a hint, it wasn’t the CGI piranha
I saw Piranha 3D. I loved it. It was hysterical. I’d see the sequel in a heartbeat!
Dimension should rename their studio dellusional. For the cost it took to make such a insultingly lame movie as “Piranha 3D”, this will be out of theatres in a few weeks considering such a weak opening. Yet another horror FLOP. They pulled the same tactic a year ago when “Halloween 2″ bombed, immediately announcing a sequel. Oh and what happened with that Halloween 3D anyway? LOL. Dimension is a joke.

Just saw this tonight after waiting over a year for it, and man, did it ever exceed my expectations! One of the best horror filsm to come out in ages…I cannot WAIT until the sequel…absolutely amazing! And I am a harsh critic, horror being my favourite gence for the past thirty years….

the movie piranha 3D was toatlly sick. it was totally awesome. i am completly excited to see the sequal. And if I may make a suggestion. your should use the clip from the ending of the first movie and then have a very important person like the president or like a senator adressing the people about what has happened at lake victoria. then the world would go into a world wide panic except for 10 to 20 teens that thik that the whole thing is some type of scam from the gov’t. Then they are thrown into a panic for there lives as they are the last people around for miles. then they have to fend off the virocous beasts as they watch as one by one they fall to there persours. At the end there should be atleast three kids that survive. To make it interesting make it so that there are at least 6 boys and atleast 4 girls. Make it so that two of the boys both have a crush on this girl from school. one is nerdy the other a bad boy. i think it would be preferble if these two jealous boys end up surviving with the girl that they both like so much. For the piranhas part i think they should be in the heat of mating season. thats when fish are usually most protective of their laying place and when the big males fight over who can spread his genes around the most. it should end with all the parents dead and then show all of the fetus’s and the new life squirming inside chomping on air to show that it all ready has a very predetory aditude.
