Machete hit the spot. It is very funny and hit the right notes with some definitely ‘inside’ references for the Mexican audience. Alba was tepid, but Michelle R. was great as always, and I can definitely see her in a spinoff sequel. Lohan had some nice comedic moments as did Cheech. Overall, great representative of the genre.

    Fun movie.

I was surprised. I was not expecting it to be as funny as it was.
Then again it would be foolish to go and watch this movie and take it all with a very serious demeanor.

The only villains in this movie were racist ones, so if you got offended while watching this movie because of its stereotypes
then you deserved it because that will make you a racist too.

due to the popularly ignorant belief on this movie,
NOt all white people were portrayed as bad guys.
The cook in the film was white and so was el Cholo.

My white friend was not offended at all and praised at how
    surprisingly enjoyable it was.

Its an action flick like something you’d expect to see with Bronson, Eastwood or Bruce Lee!!

This movie does not insists on a race war as some people ignorantly have described [about 2 ppl so far]. If anything it relies on a “doing what is right” attitude like handling the immigaration issue in most peoples dreams by bringing us all closer together and not tearing us further spart.

for example: Whites and Latinos sharing the same room having a great time watchng this movie was one of them.

I am so glad this movie brought immigration issues
to the table and made light of it all with comedy
    and a good message,
which is: We are All HUMAN Beings sharing the same sky!

There is the good and bad and it is wise if both sides
got together and woked something out instead of using violence/insults [verbal or physical] to get a point across
like so many spiritually ignorant ppl do, but this is not a movie you’d go see for spiritual reasons? right. good!!

This movie is a cut throat action packed blast!!!
What would you expect from a title like “Machete”
The trailer is as Awesome as the movie.

This movie lives up to its name and then some.
It is creative, sexy, hilarious and ultra violent like Tarantino movies with a Latino Rodriquez twist.
    {and his co-director}

This is not a movie to be taken all too seriously.
This is a movie not for the easily offended.
This is a movie to spend a good time on and enjoy
    a few good laughs.

my opinon, It is Rodriguez best besides El Mariachi
and if you liked Desperado or Once Upon a Time in Mexico
the slightest t then you will definitely enjoy this one!

Its a grindhouse movie and if you like the type.
A movie worth the time and a movie you should go out with friends to see and not the whole family with…. duh!!!

4 out of 5 for its type of movie.
    ACTION is great.
    The story will do.
    Actors were Awesome.
Great Ideas with scenes and characters.
    Memorable and hilarious one liners.
Stereotypes blown through the roof that its funny,.
    Sexy Hot Latnas.

what more can you ask for
    besides Seagal being a villain?

    go see it.

    I will (again)

“Its an action flick like something you’d expect to see with Bronson, Eastwood or Bruce Lee!!”

If you really believe this, you need to have your head examined. Bruce Lee would have offed himself before doing anything like this.

Machete was fantastic. Loved every minute of it. Go see it for fun. Don’t expect a Oscar contender and you won’t be disappointed.

Good to see this movie and I am so glad I did saw the movie The American interesting to watch the movie and some how most of the teens are there to see it how ever in the movie I really have admits to see more crime and unless it was not there the wonderful cast on the movie and the direction of Anton Corbijn is making every one so happy about it now

‘The American’ was so boring, even Clooney fell asleep midway through the picture. I’m a fan and was optimistic when I’d heard he teamed up with Corbijn, but it really was the most disappointing film I’ve seen all year.

I had low expectations for ‘Going the Distance,’ and it was worse than that. Barrymore playing a 31-year old at an emotional crossroads doesn’t hold any water, especially when she looks much older than even her actual 35 years. The main characters were unlikeable and unrealistic. Barrymore’s trademark laugh/cry routine has long grown stale.

I haven’t seen ‘Machete’ yet, though my girlfriend and I had a fine time whispering the title to one another over the weekend for laughs.

Am interested in machete, it looks to be a sleazy over the top action fest with cheesy dialogue and plenty of gore, explosions, gratuitous violence, and hot scantily clad girls. That being said danny Trejo is the ugliest damn leading man since ernest borgnine, and I dont really know that i want to stare at his hideous pock-marked face for 90 or so minutes.

clooney just loves to make these terribly monotonous supposedly tense thrillers that put people to sleep half an hour in, michael clayton, syrianna, good night and good luck, solaris, the american, the good german…etc. I almost fell asleep during the trailer. Apparently they gross enough to warrant the studios continuing to cater to clooneys political agenda, but nobody under 40 wants to see them. I’d rather watch CNN to get my political fix.

    Pointless, chain pulling, libelous,
    cokeheaded circle-jerk slop.

    MEANWHILE, having made BILLIONS
    servicing history’s –MOST–
    awesomely genocidal regime ACROSS
the Pacific —once again, ‘mysteriously overlooked’
the urgently relevant 60th aniversary of the KOREAN WAR
    —this year.

FURTHER —we wonder just how much
    underpaid, untaxed,
    unserviced illegal labor
    the LONG RICH DeNiro has
    himself ‘used’ to operate
    his Tribeca Grill these
    past 20 years??

    LOL

The movie The American ranks right up there with Tom Hanks movie Ladykillers. They both are worse than bad!

Going the Distance could have been a really enjoyable movie, but the producers apparently decided to sex it up to get the guys to watch what is really a chick flick. I’m surprised that Drew Barrymore, who has proven herself to be a really good actress in Grey Gardens, would bother with this trash.Watching a guy sitting on a toilet, reaching for the toilet paper, and Drew (of all people) continually yelling “Suck my d…,” isn’t art, which some idiots like to think. By the way, I saw it at a free advance screening too! The only good thing about this movie was the free ticket.

I am a robrod and Danny Trejo fan, but truly, I think Rob was just messing with us on this one. What a gawd-awful, boring, cliched, badly-acted movie. Straight to DVD, but is that a surprise to anyone. You have to be half brain dead to have liked this movie. What a LONG way from El Mariachi we have come …
