Emma Thompson, who most recently reprised her role as Nanny McPhee, is in talks to join Will Smith and team for Men In Black III. The 51-year old actress would play the head of the MIB operation, should the deal go through.
Thompson is no stranger to the tent pole, having played Professor Trelawney in the Harry Potter movies. Men in Black III is scheduled to go before cameras in November with Barry Sonnenfeld returning to direct a script by Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder) . The 3-D movie is already slated to bow Memorial Day weekend 2012.
So I guess they weren’t jumping to rehire Rip Torn, huh.

She’s so much better than this. She was amazing in Brideshead Revisted. I guess even the best will lower themselves for a fat paycheck.
Chris,this is her job. She can lower herself for a paycheck if she wants.In my opinion,its good to see actors do different things now and then.
MIB II was horrible. I hope they do a better job on the third.

Hey jerks. There has never been a good Men in Black movie. Director Barry Sonenfeld started out making hard-core porn films. When I found out I vowed never to watch another of his films again. The vast majority are crap anyway.
