No offense to Katherine Heigl but what is up with her playing the same role in a bunch of different movies, none of which ever is well-received? Sure, I’ll watch 27 Dresses when I’m bored and it’s on TV, but I don’t understand how her roles in the past five movies have been identical and not since Knocked Up have they really been all that successful. Wouldn’t you rather do something better with your life, Katherine?

      Knocked Up- Budget: 33M
      Box Office: 219M
      27 Dresses- Budget: 30M
      Box Office: 160M
      The Ugly Truth-Budget: 38M
      Box Office: 205M
      Killers-Budget: 75M
      Box Office: 92M

So of 4 movies, she has had 3 3 smash’s and 1 hit. Not a bad track record. Oh, and LAWKI has made back almost 1/3 of it’s budget in 1 week, not a bad track record at all.

Sarah El, I agree that i’m getting tired of Katherine playing the same role. Even though I don’t think she’s the best choice to play Stephanie Plum in “One for the Money”, it will be nice to see her in a different role when that movie comes out.

She’s using the Jennifer Anniston maxim. Find a character you’re comfortable with and play it for the rest of your life.

I didn’t know that Dallas is considered a “smaller market.”

I have to say that I might and go see it next week I am in the middle of a move that is preventing me from going to a local theater to see it. However, I have to say that I am NOT a HEIGEL FAN what-so-ever. She is trying too hard to be a cross-over actress like Aniston and NO ONE seems to be buying it. I do not think that this placing in second is a bad thing, certainly better than You Again. WOW! Two weeks out and it is already out of the Top 10. I have to say that Josh Duhamel is the MAIN reason why it did as well as it did and place. Anytime he is walking around in his boxer briefs, yeah you can guarantee that a slew of women are going to want to see that! Enjoy!

I am so disappointed in the BO for Let Me In. In my opinion, one of the best films of the year..moody, fim noirish, great understated acting, hearfelt, shocking. A total original fim that should have caught on.

I want to see it but it isn’t playing were I live

I agree, I also wish “Let Me In” was doing better at the Box Office. It is one of the best films I’ve seen all year, even though I had already seen the original.
With the tiresome deluge of Vampires catering to all things young and pop-culture, the story in “Let Me In” comes as a much needed fresh, intelligent, mature and emotional approach.
It’s not an “original” film since it’s literally based off the excellent “Let the Right One In” that released in 2008.
But, “Let Me In” is one of those rare remakes that actually is respectful of the original source material, and therefore surprising turned out to be a great film, one that more people should be seeing and I was hoping the American release would expose more people to the fantastic original.
