Due to permit difficulties and objections from a woman’s association, Angelina Jolie is cutting back on filming plans in Bosnia for her directorial debut, according to Reuters. In October, a Bosnian minister canceled the untitled project’s filming permit after female rape victims of the Bosnian War raised concerns about the movie’s plot, which is reportedly about a Serbian man and a Bosnian Muslim woman who fall in love before the 1992-95 armed conflict. Although Jolie’s permit was reissued three days later, the production had already decided to move many of the Bosnia-set scenes to Budapest, Hungary. A crew (without Jolie) is currently filming exteriors shots in Sarajevo, and is expected to finish on Friday.
