'Source Code' trailer: All aboard the Jake Gyllenhaal train

Jake Gyllenhaal is going into the matrix to stop a terrorist. Wait, no, to fall in love! And also stop a terrorist. And assume someone else’s identity. And change the past. And tell Michelle Monaghan how pretty she is, because seriously, so pretty. And oh yeah, to tell Jeffrey Wright and Vera Farmiga how awesomely steely they seem! Soooo steely. Source Code, you guys!

So, a lot is going on in this trailer, not the least of which is the swirly shot at the beginning, which is a fabulous use of the reflective surface of Chicago’s Cloud Gate sculpture (aka, The Bean). Public art is for everyone!

I’m intrigued, PopWatchers. Are you?

    Inception + Groundhog’s Day = WIN!

Actually I’d say it’s more Quantum Leap + 12 Monkeys x Groundhog Day, but I echo your sentiments! ;)

“Inception?” LOL. More like “The Matrix” meets “Groundhog Day” meets “Deja Vu.” Doesn’t look too hot.

I wasn’t too interested. I thought it was a rip off of The Matrix. And then I saw “Duncan Jones” at the way end. Now I’m excited.

this looks really good! Jake G. is so earnest in all his roles, I love his dedication.

Duncan Jones is directing, so I am definitely excited about this movie!

Could either be really intriguing and entertaining, or another high-concept sci-fi movie that can’t live up to its potential. Good cast.
