Banana. Banana? Banana! The adorable yellow minions of Despicable Me return, and this time, it’s not to carry out evil schemes of super villain Gru (Steve Carell), but to advise on the importance of a well-balanced diet. Despite slightly resembling bananas themselves, these tiny capsules are simply bananas over the fruit (which means they want to eat themselves? Someone call a therapist). EW has an exclusive look at “Banana,” the never-before-seen clip included on the Despicable Me Blu-ray and DVD double pack, available Dec. 14. Check it out below, while I go hit up the fruit stand downstairs.

‘Despicable Me’ EW Review

Those minions crack me up. Maybe it’s the scalloped teeth and how they go “hup hup hup”
I really hate being bribed into buying the Blu-Ray. I get that eventually there’ll be nothing but Blu-Ray but I just don’t have the disposable income for the new machine and replacing all my movies. So thanks for posting that, otherwise I would never have seen it!
I just checked on Amazon and there will be a limited edition two disc set (non-Blu-Ray) that has the three cartoons. I think they had it listed for $14.99. I’m hoping it will be available in the stores because I don’t want to buy a Blu-Ray player, either
The good news about Blu-Ray players is that you wouldn’t have to replace any of your old movies. They play DVDs better than DVD players do. Not like VHS, where it was totally incompatible.
Lol! But that banana would have been bruised beyond recognition.
guess us regular folk will just have to watch it at some rich relatives house. Getting real tired of how these companies are milking people for money by making Blu-ray with exclusive extras. We’re not made of money you know.
Alright!
Everyone needs to quit bitching about Bluray. First of all – it’s not for some “rich relative.” I bought my first Bluray player as a starving student, paying my own way through university. It cost the same as it did when I bought my first DVD player (as a high school student!!) And I don’t come from a rich family. I work retail and live in an expensive city.
You can buy Blurays as cheap as 9.99 day to day and on Boxing Day or Black Friday as low as 4.99. Give me a break about the price.
And finally, there’s no converting your collection from DVD because DVDs still work on a Bluray player.
Enough is enough!
I really love the Minions. At first, I thought that they would be too cutesy and cheesy, but they really just make me smile and laugh. I love their goofy “Minionspeak,” and they’re wacky personalities. But yeah, I HATE that we’re all being forced into getting Blu Ray if we want to see extras like these or deleted scenes (Iron Man 2.) Sheesh.
What I can’t understand is why didn’t a toy manufacturer foresee the fortune that would have been made if they produced Minion plushies. My daughter is 18, and SHE would have loved a stuffed Minion to own. Give it a voice chip and you’ve got a million dollar toy idea. They were really asleep at the wheel on that one.
I’m am making a lifesize minion plush of ‘Dave’ for my daughter for Christmas.
BTW you get both the blu-ray and the normal DVD….and i think you get a free download of the movie as well….
Love the minions!
VERY COOL N FUNNNY!
Ilove the minions their to funny!?
