It takes a lot to make Hugh Jackman look little; the guy is six feet two inches of pure muscle, after all. But the 2,000-pound fighting robots in his new action spectacular Real Steel manage the feat — just take a look at the movie’s first trailer, which hit the web today. Jackman stars as Charlie Kenton, a down-and-out fighter whose sport has been taken over by giant, battling robots. To get another shot at a title, he teams up with his estranged son to build and train a fighting droid. Real Steel opens Oct. 7, 2011.

I remember this movie the first time I saw it…when it was called Transformers. Yep, Rock Em Sock Em Robots the movie. I guess they didn’t want to have to pay for the rights. Expect a lawsuit.
