According to Deadline, the actor is set to star in — and possibly help produce — the movie version of Catherine Fisher’s Incarceron.
The sci-fi novel, released in 2007, centers around main character Finn, a young prisoner inside the futuristic prison Incarceron, and Claudia, the daughter of the warden who is trapped in a faux reality. The book’s sequel, Sapphique, is set to be released Dec. 28.
Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, whose joint credits include 2006′s Accepted and the upcoming Brett Ratner project Tower Heist, are set to write the screenplay.

Looks pretty good maybe by then Taylor’s acting ability will match his 12-pak
Sounds great!!
This book is really good, my 13 year old daughter wanted to read it so I pre-read it to make sure it was appropriate. I really enjoyed it.
You screen what your 13 year old reads? It is not like it’s a harlequin romance or a gossip girl book.
I think this sounds like an awful idea-Taylor just doesn’t seem to fit the role of Finn. It’s a pretty serious, philosophical book. (Gone by Michael Grant is much better if you want to see teenagers deal with survival and morals). I’m afraid it will turn into a twilight-lite romance.
Don’t know much about the book, but I do know Lautner is a terrible actor.
ITA! I wish Lautner, Efron, and Beiber would go learn a trade and get out of the entertainment business.
Taylor Lautner goes to prison? Wow! the jokes write themselves.
Wow, Taylor Lautner AND the writer of Accepted. Ladies and Gentlemen, box office gold has been struck with this pairing.
NOOOOO!!!! No, no, no… tell me this is NOT TRUE!!!
He’s not Finn! Finn is tall and thin and pale and average looking…
I’M OUTRAGED!!!
How do you get an autographed picture of taylor for my grands?
