Mila Kunis cuddles up to 'Ted'

Mila-KunisImage Credit: Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty ImagesIn not-too-surprising casting news, Black Swan star Mila Kunis is in talks to join Seth MacFarlane’s comedy for Universal, Ted, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Kunis, who is also the voice of Meg on Family Guy (hence the unsurprising part), would play the girlfriend of a man (likely played by Mark Wahlberg) who, as a young boy, wishes his teddy bear could come to life. The wish comes true, and his titular stuffed friend (played by MacFarlane, who is also writing and directing) stays at his side into his adult life. Party Down star Adam Scott is also┬áin talks to join the project.

I actually liked Max Payne…but I was only minimally familiar of the source material. Pretty good as far as video game movies go.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but the reason I think it’s a crap movie (other than it being really boring)is because the “Max Payne” game actually has one of the more engaging and movie-ready storylines and characters of any videogame. (A rare treat among videogames.) To see the movie virtually ignore it was disappointing.

There were parts of it that looked cool though, I’ll give you that.

I think she’d be a good choice for a leading lady, she’s more than proved herself at having comedic chops with “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Date Night”, and with “Black Swan” she established that she can properly make a foray into the dramatic fare as well.

It’s nice to see she’s finally getting more work, but it would have been nice to see her get something a little more, um, good.

Yeah, I honestly might be able to get on board with this concept because it seems like one of those out there ideas that could actually work if done right, but anything Seth McFarlane touches turns into steaming dung. God I just want to punch him so hard.

Mila’s character in Black Swan looks creepy. I’m gonna pee my pants when I see the movie LOL!!!!

I like Mila Kunis, but Seth MacFarlane and Family Guy are teh suck. I was so happy to see she was in a movie like “Black Swan.” She was a treat in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” Here’s hoping she doesn’t get stuck taking parts in MacFarlane projects for the rest of her career… obviously she has a lot more to offer!

Why Mark Wahlberg? He can’t do comedy. I don’t know why so many people want to work with him.

    • Nick

He wasn’t bad in The Other Guys.

      • Jay

Was “The Other Guys”, supposed to be a comedy? I couldn’t tell. Besides, he played the straight guy to Ferrell’s bumbling idiot character.

      • well

He did wonderful in The Departed. Of course thats not a comedy though.

Oh, and say “Hi” to your mother for me.

I thought “Super Mario Brothers” was the best video game movie adaptation. lmao just kidding.

  • Jay

This sounds like a comedy, so why is Mark Wahlberg likely to play the lead? He’s not funny at all. He’s a decent actor, but he’s not funny.
