EW has confirmed that Sarah Jessica Parker has joined, and Halle Berry and Zac Efron are in talks to join, the sprawling ensemble cast of the 2011 romantic comedy New Year’s Eve, director Garry Marshall’s follow-up (though not a sequel) to this year’s Valentine’s Day. (The Hollywood Reporter first reported the casting.) Parker will play the mother of Abigail Breslin; Berry would play a caterer, and Efron a bike messenger. The movie, which will likely begin principal photography in February, also stars Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfieffer, Hilary Swank, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Lea Michele, and Sofia Vergara.

Sounds fun!
Look at Sarah Parker’s face. Damn! Her face looks like feet or a horse’s face. I’m gonna have nightmares tonight.
Sounds like this movie is shaping up to be as bad as Valentine’s Day, oh, I mean “Where’s Waldo” with celebrities.
This sounds like it’s going to be awful!
I walked into ‘Valentine’s Day’ thinking it would be terrible, especially after ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ but was pleasantly surprised. And I’ll go see anything with Michelle Pfieffer.
Ugh. No, just no. And this is from someone who generally likes SJP and Halle. But they lost me at Kutcher, Biel and Michele (Lea, not Pfieffer).
love SJP. not saying that this will be it, but when she gets some good material, she’s excellent. anyway, hope this is better than valentine’s day. having so many celebs in one movie is so exciting. if only it lived up to all the hype.
This sounds like a better cast than the other movie. Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift and Jessica Alba cannot act.
hahaha…how this woman is considered to be beautiful is beyond me…jeremy clarkson said it best… “she looks like a horseeeeee”!!!!
Dear Hollywood,
Please stop trying to capture the beauty of Love, Actually with your crappy A Listers and bad story lines. C’mon Gary Marshall, give me something better than this! I’d rather take a Never Been Kissed straight to DVD sequel!
That is all.
Love,
Liver
