Tina Fey in very early talks for 'Admission'

Tina Fey is still in very early discussions to star in Admission, according to her spokesperson. Variety initially broke the news of Fey’s interest, and she and director Paul Weitz (Little Fockers) have met to discuss adapting Jean Hanff Korelitz’s 2009 novel about an Ivy League admissions officer.

I’m guessing this is a comedy even though it could be a drama.

  • Joel

There is no illicit relationship with a student in this book. Please get your facts right.

  • Tom

Maybe she could do a funny skit about Sarah Palin ‘targeting’ Arizona. Where’s her wisecracks now?

    • palintwit

Sarah Palin is a stinking, steaming pile of filthy white trailer trash. The sooner you accept this Tom, the sooner you’ll be able to get on with your life.

      • palintwit fan

        amen to that!

      • Jay

Palin haters are the biggest jerks on the planet. What’s up with your hatred for her ? I feel sorry for you and your family – they obviously have to put up with you and your rambling putrid stupidity full of random likes and dislikes. There are a LOT of people who are intelligent ad respect Sarah Palin. I bet you ANYTHING I make more than you and can score better on a Mensa test than you and have closer friends than you. You’re a big Zero. You would know what trailer trash is exactly. Nothing like making fun of economically underprivileged people who can’t afford the palace you obviously live in. Go deal with your steatopygia. And take Tina Fey with you after you look it up.

I’m trailer trash and I resent the comparison.

Jay, look at all that steam rising up from that big, disgusting pile of steaming hot road apples. Wait a minute…that’s not horse sh!t, it’s the Palins!

@Jay…I did look up the word steatopygia, a clever word for fat around the gluteus maximus, FYI “AND” is spelled A-N-D. Misspelling a simple adjective, especially when placed next to the word intelligent makes it hard to receive the polemic pontification you present in your dialogue to the masses….just saying dude. Palin HAS been divisive, so has the left and my little jab even adds fuel to the fire of your insult to someone who did make an undeserved comment on a story that had NOTHING to do with Arizona. I believe in honest discussion but at the right platform w/o fear mongering, insults. This is a website devoted to GaGa and the Kardashians for crissake…ok I’m done.

@Jay So, your outrage and class-based elitism is noted (and certainly valid) But then to brag about how much money you make? It shouldn’t take a Mensa member to grasp that you’ve just allowed yourself to become part of the problem we as a culture seem to have with fair and sensible discourse.

      • D’s Advocate

excuse me… “outrage *at* class-based elitism”, rather than “*and* class-based elitism”, as I mistakenly typed in this previous comment.

Sounds like a really great role for her and something she’s never really done before. I’m on board, as long as “Mommy and Me” with Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci still happens!

    • khm

And wow, I must’ve missed the subliminal message of this article stating that it was really about Sarah Palin and not a movie that may or may not include Tina Fey. But thank you all, truly, for enlightening me.

      • palintwit

You’re quite welcome. And thank you for taking the time to post.

  • Alan C.

I LOVE YOU, Tina Fey !! Will you marry me??

  • dawnomite

    Good book.

Can we PLEASE remember that this is a post dedicated to a potential film role for Tina Fey, and certainly not an outlet to spew political hatred. Let’s all keep our political agendas tucked away on here, reserved for, oh I don’t know, the comments section of Glenn Beck’s blog (I assume he has several ample opportunities for his readers to offer their best efforts in demonizing Tina. Tina Fey simply dressed up as Sarah Palin for a short period of time just as countless other comedians have done for decades. Tirelessly linking her back to the Palin is not only unethical, it’s practically embarrassing. This post was created in the name of popular culture so unless we’re taking about her reality show, let’s leave Ms. Palin out of this. Tina has truly become the comedic voice of this generation and anything she does is ensured to, not only deliver hilarity, but also a necessary commentary on varying elements of American culture. Beyond words excited for this new film! Tina, you are truly a genius!

What you plant is what you reap. If Sarah Palin is to be respected she should respect others especially the President of the United States.
