Flag the Super Bowl commercial for Rango 15 yards for a false start. The 30-second spot advertising the Johnny-Depp-as-a-chameleon animated film popped up online today, and it looks… well, funny lookin’. In a good way. But could the ending be any more abrupt? I mean, I understand the rates for a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl are astronomical, but couldn’t they swap out a few of the 412 split-second cuts for a less jarring conclusion? This blog is about as bad as a Facebook post. Less than substantive blogpost. About as bad as “Going shopping now” or “Really craving some nachos”. It’s a 30 sec ad. It’s going to end abruptly.
I didn’t find that it ended in an usual way either. I feel like the majority of 30 second spots are like that. Definitely with you Dean, odd thing to focus on…I guess someone was bored
