'Water for Elephants': International trailer get steamy

Another new trailer for Water for Elephants has hit and the big guns are out: Mainly, a glimpse of at least one forbidden sex scene between veterinarian Robert Pattinson and married, abused circus performer Reese Witherspoon. Watching it, I have to say I’m excited for Pattinson, who gets to show a far wider range of emotions than he does in the Twilight movies or Remember Me. He looks up to the challenge, even if his breathy voice at one point (“You’re a beautiful woman… “) sounds a little Brando to me.

and Brando’s voice is so sexy …..stop looking at others if you have the Best right in front of you

    • stan

YOU HAVE BRANDO RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU??!?!?!?!? How does he look?

    • emma

      Rob’s voice is sexy. Brando’s voice is sexy. It’s a no-brainer.

    • dixy

      his voice is really something

  • Kelsey

You do realize that Brando was quite the sex symbol in his prime, right? Just making sure.

  • dominic

Don’t you mean, “gets” instead of “get?” Seriously, you’re writers, make us believe it. Obviously, it looks like someone doesn’t know their subject-verb agreement. If the mistake is in you’re headline, that’s really embarassing. It’s not like you’re trying to fit 160 characters on your phone or on stupid Twitter. You have enough space. It’s called proofreading. Why don’t you try it sometime?

    • Lindsey

You know you used the wrong form of “your”, right?

      • rachel

Sorry, but Dominic did use the correct form. You’re is a contraction meaning you are, Dominic is saying you are writers. Your is the possessive form of you referring to something that a person has, something that belongs to the person in question. Being a teacher, I see the mix-up all of the time.

      *Your (Hypocritical Idiot)

      • Mandy

No, the diff is Dominic can’t edit, though he probably would love to, and they REFUSE to edit, even though it’s part of their social contract w/their readers to deliver news in a readable style. If you don’t have control over your native grammar, the authority with which you use it to pontificate about Brando-sounding starlets is greatly reduced.

SO different from the book, but it looks fantastic! May this be the role that earns Pattinson the respect he deserves.

    • “respect he deserves”

      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

      • Judo Thong

        I’m embarrassed for him.

      • Karate Pants

        You’re welcome.

  • Joe

Since when is sounding like Brando an insult? Being compared to Brando in any way is one of the biggest compliments Robert Pattinson could ever HOPE to receive!

  • chris

seriously guys, i’m in line 1st weekend to see Water for elephants…looks amazing..can’t wait

  • James

Pattinson should thank his lucky stars that anyone, even starstruck, gossipy EW writers who recycle the same “stories” over and over again, uses his name in the same paragraph as Brando.

  • sil

this actually looks really good dispite rob. i love him but i am really interested in the movie now. think i’ll probably read the book first though.

    • kelly

you should read it. the book is amazing.

    • Jackie

The book is fantastic, but I usually try to read the book after I’ve seen the movie. Nine times out of ten, the book is better (at least in my opinion), and reading the book first just sets you up for disappointment with the movie.

    • emma

The script is actually better than the book. You should read that.

  • swan ronson

geez…criticizing Pattinson for sounding a “little Brando” is like criticizing a rock guitarist for sounding a little Chuck Berry. every actor since the early 1950s has absorbed some Brando.

  • Sparky

Looks like crap to me, but I DO love Christoph Waltz<3

  • kelly

can’t wait to see this. the international trailer looks better then the us version, and of course the haters who have nothing better else to do make it known that they are here.

  • brighton beach

I LIKE TO POOP ON THE BEACH…

    • Kelly

      …that’s nice…

  • Linsey

I am really excited for this movie. I LOVED the book. I think Rob, Reese, and Christoph will be excellent in the movie. It looks SO good! I can’t wait!

  • Kelly

Oh the book is great – I really liked it – I am not sure about Robert Pattinson as the main character though. He has great potential and I love him as an actor, this role just requires a bit more than being beautiful and pouty – and I am a “Twilight” fan! I just think he was VERY miscast in the other films – “Remember Me” and “Little Ashes”.

    • dixy

Being beautiful is a huge +

    • Kate

Не is very talented also. He will grow in the great actor! We are very lucky, guys)))

  • Scott Pilgrim

    Hans Landa

    • dixy

Waltz is great ! I love him.
