She’ll heat up the big screen in July in the sex comedy Friends With Benefits, but next up, Mila Kunis is set to be melllllting (what a world!) in Disney’s Wizard of Oz prequel. EW has confirmed that the Black Swan actress has joined Oz, the Great and Powerful, which already stars the actress’ Date Night co-star James Franco. (Variety first reported the news.) Kunis will play Theodora, the youngest of three witch sisters who battles Franco’s oil salesman for control of Oz. Filming on the feature, directed by Sam Raimi, will begin this summer. Being considered for the remaining two witch sisters? According to Variety, Amy Adams, Kate Beckinsale, Keira Knightley, and Rebecca Hall are all in the running.

Excuse me, but there already is an Oz prequel. It’s called “Wicked” by Gregory Maquire and it’s already better than this will ever be.
Yeah, but Wicked is a Universal Studios property. If Disney wants to get some of that Oz money, they have to create their own inferior version.
MMMMM Mila is witchaliscious….
kill yourself.
“Wicked” is not Canon, so anyone else can make their own prequel. Besides “Wicked” ignores far too much of what went on in the books. I have always hated the concept of “Wicked” anyway. There was no need to liberate the witch from her evil, for goodness sake.
Who’d of thunk that of all the “That 70′s Show” stars…Mila Kunis was the george clooney?
I don’t get why hwood hasn’t made “Wicked” a movie yet. Anything that is that popular on Broadway is obviously commercially viable and pre-sold…guessing they haven’t found the talent yet…hot starlets that can sing.
Wicked still makes money on Broadway. They probably don’t want to cut into the theater box office by giving the kids something they can watch on a DVD at home instead of on the Great White Way.
I’d rather see “Wicked” adapted.
Not me.
I think it would be great if Liza had a bit part or cameo.
if you do your research and know your history, you wil find that Wicked is a story seen from the point of view of Elphaba before she became the wicked witch pf the west. this movie is seen from the point of view of the wizard and how he became to rule over the land. On top of that the original motion picture was based on the book, the Wonderful World of Oz written by L. Frank Baum. Oz is actually a series of books baum had written, I believe over 14 was his original set. If you’ve ever watched The Wiz, or Return to Oz, you will also see that they are more based on the books than on the 1930′s film. Know your history! It helps when you actually know about a subject when you want to comment on it
I wish you had some useful info to share
