J.J. Abrams, you are such a tease this week. A couple days ago, the Star Trek helmer was at Cinemacon to talk up — and show off — his new flick Super 8, igniting much buzz for the Steven Spielberg-inspired coming-of-age/monster-in-a-small-town tale opening on June 10 Today, a mysterious package arrived at EW HQ containing a small, slightly-weathered, so-very-seventies orange box of Kodak Kodachrome 40 super 8 film. Outside the box: An expiration date of “08/1988″ and the numbers “761 7820″. Inside the box: A white plastic cartridge, holding a short reel of film offering about 30 frames of footage – a literal little tease of film. Holding the film strip up to our window, we can see a presidential-looking dude sitting at a desk with a U.S. flag behind him and talks directly to camera. The box also contained an instruction to send an email with a separate code to an address at super8-movie.com. After doing so, we headed over to the website, clicked on the feature labelled “Editing Room,” and there was our strip of film, dangling from a dark room hook. You can see it here — along with other strips of film, as well. My guess is more and more of these films strips will be added to the site’s “Editing Room” in the days or weeks to come, and taken together, will add up to a scene offering some backstory for/insight into the movie. (Shades of: The Lost Experience.) More to come as more is revealed.

This movie looks very promising, JJ has made two of favorite shows this decade in LOST and FRINGE plus it stars Kyle Chandler from my other favorite show Friday Night Lights
Agreed. Lost and Fringe are, like, my two favorite things in the world.
And while I haven’t seen Friday Night Lights, from the trailer Chandler seems pretty talented — and I hear he’s awesome in Friday Night Lights.
All the ones I click on say “clip missing”. What did you do to see them?
Just keep watching. The first available clip is 19, so you have to wait a bit before it plays. The rest of the clips then follow after a time relative to their number.
Hello???? Try heart disease, heart caattk, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, just to name a few. Your mother needs to get her **** to the ER tonight. Lumps in the Breast will not cause shortness of breath, but everything that I mentioned will along with the chest pain. Women don’t show heart caattk symptoms the same way men do. Sometimes all we get is jaw pain or a stomach ache. Lung cancer also won’t show up as chest pain, but will present as a cough. Her problems sound heart related to me, but she needs to see a doctor who can examine her and she really should see one now, not later on in the week. Time wasted is tissue killed.

Originally this looked good. But the more trailers I am seeing the less likely I am to want to see it.
If Aamir indeed doesn’t do Dhoom 2, then the other 2 Khans are the only tooipn. Everybody knows that Aamir is doing Dhoom 2 and if he is replaced by any lesser hero, the disappointment would be too big, especially when the other two main leads are Abhishek and Uday. Only SRK or Salman can do the film without disappointing the audience about the replacement.
This is the movie that I am definetely going to go see this june. Big fans of both Abrams and Spielberg
