Steve Carell is no longer officially keeping Office hours, but he’s already lined up his first post-Michael Scott role. The actor’s rep confirms a Deadline report that Carell will play a lonely man who sets out with his neighbor to locate his high school sweetheart before the imminent end of the world in the aptly-titled, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. Keira Knightley is currently in negotiations to join him — not as the high school sweetheart, but as the road-tripping neighbor.

Lorene Scafaria, who scripted Nick & Nora’s Infinite Playlist, wrote the screenplay and will direct. The film begins shooting May 16.

Carell’s summer is now almost booked, as he follows Seeking a Friend with Great Hope Springs, opposite Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones.

few years ago, two parents went out for diennr.A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids’ room, the father said, Take the kids and get out of the house. We’ll call the police, we don’t have a clown statue. The clown statue is really a killer that escaped from jail.If you don’t post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsawin his hand 3 w

Keira Knightley is stunningly beautiful. This incredibly gorgeous young woman is pure English perfection.

I hope that she does contemporary and American mainstream movies from now on instead of just doing British or historical films.

when has she just done british historical films? and why ya hating on them? sounds like some anne coulter junk

Honestly EW, you’ll post this, but not the new Hobbit casting news?

Steve Carell and Keira Knightley? Interesting co-stars, but sounds good to me.

Very interesting. He had great on-screen chemistry with Juliette Binoche in ‘Dan in Real Life’, and I never would have pictured them in a movie together, so I hope this turns out to be just as good.

Keira Knightley who is very beautiful and Ryan Gosling should do a movie. What a great combination. Assuming the script and movie was top notch the chemistry would be fantastic.

Not sounding very appealing. Reminds me of Last Night (1998).

B/c she stole from a store in 2001, and movie producters don’t want soonmee like that in their movies. YES SHE DOES LOOK LIKE KEIRA! weird maybe they were twins separated at birth P
