Does this mean BROTHERS & SISTERS might not be coming back next season?
And there goes my enthusiasm for this movie. Damn.
Sally Field? Was Mary Todd 64 when she was married to Abe and did she have osteoporosis? I really thought her best work was when portrayed a man in Mr. & Mrs. Doubtfire.
Mary Todd Lincoln always looked old. Sally Field is a shade to old but, they’ll take care of that with makeup.
Yeah, the role should totally go to Natalie Portman. Dakota Fanning? Or, to be on the money age-wise, Jennifer Beals, Downtown Julie Brown, Phoebe Cates, Lisa Kudrow, Elle MacPherson or Lisa Rinna.
Cause Lord knows being the right age is all that matters.
I’m yawning. I’m yawning some more and… ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Sally Field will be perfect. Am I the only one that is thrilled that Liam Neeson is not playing “Lincoln”? Daniel Day-Lewis is fuc#ing perfect.
Does anyone really believe this thing is actually going to happen? Hasn’t Spielberg been flirting with a Lincoln biopic for a decade now? I’ll believe it when I see it.
Sally Field, while a fantastic actress, doesn’t look ANYTHING like Mary Todd Lincoln. DDL is in the same boat. Ugh.
I’ll give you Sally Field, but I think DDL has a similar bone structure to Lincoln. Not that it really matters, I’m more interested in them casting capable actors. I mean Joaquin and Reese weren’t exactly carbon copies of Johnny and June, but I thought “Walk the Line” was a great biopic.
I can not wait! I have been waiting ages for this movie – I remember when Liam Neeson was originally cast! But, Daniel Day Lewis is perfect -
“You shot him! You really shot him!”
Could we have another “You love me….you really love me!” Oscar moment in the making??
can’t wait for this one. spielberg is da man!!
Way too old to play MTL.
We couldn’t get an American to play Lincoln?
No, no , no. Mary Lincoln was pudgy and 42 at the time of the war. I like Sally but she is very slender and 65. Bad casting
