Antje Traue has been cast in the upcoming Superman reboot as the villainous Faora, according to Variety. The German actress, whose only major previous Hollywood credit was in 2009′s Pandorum, will join a rogues’ gallery that already includes Michael Shannon’s General Zod. (Warner Bros. has declined to comment.) There have been various versions of Faora in Superman comics over the years, and the character loosely inspired the femme fatale Ursa in Superman II. The 2012 film begins shooting this summer.

This has me wondering if they’ll be adapting the John Byrne story where Superman executes the Kryptonian villains from a parallel universe.
As General Zod and Faora will be in Man of Steel, they have to include Non, Ursa, Quex-Ul, Nam-Ek and Aethyr-Ka.
One of the following actors will probably play Perry White:
Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, John Cleese, John Goodman, Steve Martin, William Shatner, Robin Williams
We should expect one of the following rising young actors to play Jimmy Olsen:
Thomas Dekker, Anton Yelchin, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Adam Brody, Emile Hirsch, Michael Cera
They will probably cast Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr or Evan Rachel Wood as Ursa.
…..no.
No to all of that.

Yelchin played Scotty in Star Trek and Kyle Reese in Terminator Salvation. Jimmy Olson would be the hat trick. But who would believe a resume like that!
Yelchin played Chekov not Scotty. He’s a terrific actor, he’d be great as Jimmy Olson.

Snyder’s crippling weakness: he needs something to copy EXACTLY for his movie.
