In the first part if the book when Katniss was talking about what they were talking about in school she mentioned that where they were living now was once called the Appalachian mountains in what was used to be called North America, The Capitol would be considered to be all the way over if not in near California and the capitol was projected as far as things being futuristic so I’m guessing the capitol will most defiantly have things “edited in”. As all of us know in any movie screen shots and movie sets have to be done somewhere, we all forget how each state provides something for the movie producers we never seem to realize that the movie the love the most can be filming “right next door”.
They were filmed in Ashville to my great aunts gym coach trained some of them and someone (I forget who) got there nose broke by a medicine ball I plan to stalk them next summer. just kidding
That would be so cool if indeed this was filmed in Hildebran and Shelby, I use to live in Hildebran just minutes away from Henry River Road and have spent a lot of time in Shelby! I live in Hickory now! This is so exciting!!!
And Heather if I remember correct I think they talked in the book about the capitol being where what use to be known as the Rockies so that wouldn’t be California
