'A Little Help' trailer: Jenna Fischer is ready for her close-up

Could Pam Beesly Halpert be a movie star? After watching the trailer for A Little Help, an indie comedy starring The Office‘s Jenna Fischer as a recently widowed woman at the end of her rope, I’m much more likely to answer that question with a “yes.” It’s great to see Fischer branching out into features, especially since her Office character has been sort of stuck in a rut ever since she settled down with Jim. Even better, the movie looks fairly funny; I’ve got a lot of respect for a film that manages to invoke 9/11 in a way that doesn’t make everyone feel uncomfortable. Check out the trailer for yourself below.

This looks pretty good. Jenna definitely deserves a break-out role.

    • no

      1. she is not as cute as she thinks she is

      2. The 9/11 reference is in very poor taste

      3. Jenna can’t act her way out of a paper bag

        Um, wrong, wrong, and wrong.

Please enlighten us as to how cute Jenna thinks she is, because I think I missed that interview.

So…do you live alone or with other trolls?

      • The Truth

        1. She is hotter than she thinks she is.
        2. Taste is in the eye of the beholder. Plus this is a democracy so its only in poor taste if the majority think so. Also you never used references to Pearl Harbor, The Alamo, Katrina or any other tragedy in what someone may consider poor taste right? Especially since she was acting and the reference was part of the movie not her making the reference herself.
        3. What are the specs of this paper bag and how does one act out of one? Lets compare her acting resume to yours, does your acting resume include an Emmy nomination?

This looks promising. Jenna is adorable and very charming on The Office.

I like Jenna but I think she’ll suffer the same fate as Jennifer Aniston when it comes to becoming a legit movie-star.

Not if she doesn’t make the same terrible project choices. Jennifer’s only good film was The Good Girl. The rest were crap. Jenna already has Dewey Cox to her name (and she was sweet and sexy in it), and this looks like it might keep her on the right track.

    This looks really good!

This does look promising. From what I’ve read about Jenna and seen on her blog, she seems much more interested in being a working actress and not a big celebrity. If she still gets to work in high-quality indies, as opposed to trying but not making it as a major movie star, I think she’ll be happy.

Jenna Fischer is voluptuous, gorgeous, sexy and beautiful. I love her. She’s a really sweet girl.

  • Brigette

This movie looks really weird, but I think it will be good? Who knows? Jenna’s pretty funny, and she seems like an awesome person. I will go see it in the theater and support her!
