More Twilight

'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1' poster doesn't feature Robert Pattinson, but is pretty nonetheless

Behold, Twihards, the first teaser poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which hits theaters Nov. 18. I’m no Twilight expert myself, so I’ll leave it to y’all to tell me what symbolic significance, if any, this sunrise holds. Is this a poster you’d pin up on your bedroom wall to gaze into from time to time? Or would you have preferred gazing into a poster that featured the pretty mugs of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner? And, most important of all, why does the movie title’s first “g” letter get to be all decked out with a Tim Burton-esque spiral? The other two g’s have got to be envious.

It looks more like a logo than an actual poster.

    • RecceR

      or a screen saver. lol

      • Peyton

        totally agree

    • Strepsi

Or a copy of the paperback from a Peruvian airport bookstore.

    • Tom

      Titled: Fractura Viento

  • F

I prefer this to the trio of Stewart, Lautner, and Pattinson…or, as I like to call them, Sulky, Derpy, and Cottage Cheese Face.

    • ????

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! So funny. neat nicknames i wouldn’t have thought of those. nice.

    • QueenCityMichael

      lol@derpy.
      mmmmmmmm…..
      cottage cheese

I was thinking that they would do a similar poster similar to that of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows where they did a poster for both part 1 and 2 so I was thinking they would do something like that but it looks like they’re doing them individually.

Rather than a pink sunset, might this in fact be, I don’t know… a breaking dawn?

    I’m just saying…

    • Sarah

      Amen!

    • Valley Girl

      Word!

    • Kal

      HAHA!

    • Liz Lemon

      OMG. You’re so deep.

    • John Young

Yikes, thanks for catching my egregious brain fart there.

    • Karl

No I think Metaphor wise this works best as a sunset with the second part being a sunrise.

    • Tom

you made my brain break wind quite suddenly.. I’m strangely relieved yet embarrassed by this epiphany.

Why is the horrible twilight poster news hours after it’s released but the new Harry Potter character posters aren’t even mentioned? What the hell EW?

  • Barry

I can sleep much better tonight now that EW has presented us with more Twilight nonsense.

  • mel

    potter sucks twilight forever

    • Darth Vaders Mistress

I bet you 1 billion dollars that -I dont have- one will go down as a classic and the other will be remembered as a fad as soon as movies r done.

      • ME

I’ll get in on that bet. Sounds tasty.

Oh and BTW, my money is on Potter being the classic.

  • Kent

How they could not open this on 11/11/11 is beyond me. It’s not the like the date wasn’t available. Twilight is the 800 pound gorilla.

    • Dave

Because it’s better, box office-wise, for it to be closer to the Thanksgiving holiday.

  • bruno

    THAT’S the poster?
    lame.

    • LMFAO

Where is K-Stew? Now I’ll just have to spank in the shower again.

      • Peyton

        BAHAHHAHAHAHA
        shes hot

      • ME

@Peyton: Is she though? Let’s all be honest here.

      • Sharona

And Rob’s fans will just have to spend a little more time in the shower…..

  • Tellar Calcagno

Love Rob! He is so hot! So far, unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with men with no backbone, who make promises they cannot keep. A lot of men can’t handle a strong woman. I won’t cry for all the hunger in my heart. I’m dying to have a baby. In fact, my biological clock is already ticking and I don’t know how to describe it. It’s just becoming a physical need now. I want my son(s) to look like him. I am a 34 year old divorced woman with a young daughter but I’m excited to see what the future brings.

    • Darth Vaders Mistress

      I love Jack Sparrow.

      • Tom

        (back to the good part!!)

  • Darth Vaders Mistress

This actually looks like a picture I took once when the camera went red. Pretty blah…

  • deedeedragons

Zzzzzzzzzzz. A brilliant representation of the whole series.

  • Katie

It’s … pretty, I guess? I don’t know, kind of underwhelmed. I know it’s a teaser poster, but the Deathly Hallows “teaser” poster was a picture of Hogwarts burning. So … yeah.
I also gotta ask: Are people still going to care about this come November? I’m in my early 20s so I know a lot of people who were once really into the series. Most of them are focusing on Harry Potter wrapping up and The Hunger Games coming out. Breaking Dawn gets kind of a “meh” reaction.

    • ME

Agreed. I think the one coming out this year will be fine, but the other one isn’t coming out until like November 2012, so yeah….

  • ABBAS

hey friend what a nice movie what did I say & have no words about this movie I like it very much all parts…..:-)

  • Mee

I think the tease poster has something to do with what happens at the breaking of the dawn of the day in the movie. Is there going to be a battle with some wins and loses, major and small, a twist, or a ultimate unseen, unnoticeable at first consequence.
