Screw Breaking Dawn. I’m all about the Game of Thrones season 2 casting. :-D

  • Tajah

Why, oh why, do I have to live on the other side of the continent?! East Coast Canada misses all the good stuff.

    • Ryan

why? Comic-Con should rename itself Pop-Con, its turned itself into a joke, Twilight at comic-con? really? its a mere shadow of its former self…..teen girls have invaded my beloved convention

      • charlotte

Oh no, the horror! The horror! Hopefully you don’t get cooties.

      • Tim

I don’t think comicbooks are really that popular anymore. It over-hyped in the media.

      • Tajah

I would go to see Game of Thrones and GRRM. I’m a little too jaded and bitter to be going for Twilight.

      • Tim

I saw Breaking wind and it was the best movie of the summer.

      • Philip

        They be damned.

    • cayla

don’t feel bad, nothin good ever comes 2 my little town of norwood!!! :(

  • Peter Vee

It’s funny, a few years ago you could run into GRRM walking the Dealer’s Floor (and one time I did, literally – sorry George!) Now he would probably get mobbed.

  • fbdbpw

F**k! Just 2 films to go then no1 will ever hav 2 deal w/ this garbage series again. No way it deserves to be at comic-con

    • Tim

      I agree.

  • Jester

Twilight ruined the comic con.. On the plus side: Maybe the same mob that was harassing the Twitards the last time, will make an apperance again

    • Abbie Hoffmans Ghost

Yes,we will. Beware our power, for we are Legion! Mwa-ha-ha-ha!

      • rerun

        Eff the twidiots.

  • charlotte

I’d really love to see the panel for Game of Thrones. I’m totally obsessed with that show and the books now. I know that the tickets sell out for Comic-Con sell fast, but does anyone know the general prices? I’m thinking for next year, not this one.

  • Abbie Hoffmans Ghost

Better idea, unschedule the Twi-twits panel and tell them to hold ther little get-together at the nearest mall’s food court, where all the Twi-Moms trying to live vicariously thru their tween daughters hang out anway. The PTB running Comic-Con need to have their eyes poked out with sharpened sticks for inviting this cheesy franchise into the halls of geekdom in the first place. Twitlite, Vampire Diaries, etc belong at Romance conventions, not Comic-Con. It’s like your girlfriend or wife that always has to ruin the time you spend with your bros playing video games or watching horror movies. She’s whining, what’s to change the way things are being done, not understanding what’s going on, or clueless about why the guys are suddenly not having much fun. Chicks always have to horn their way into guy’s having fun and ruin the mood. Unless they want to join you at the strip club for a few girl-on-girl lap dances in the private rooms, with an after-party party with your bros and your girl’s new dancer friend’s friends. That’s cool.

    • charlotte

What a sexist pig you are. Do you really have a girlfriend? I seriously doubt it. If you do, I feel very sorry for her.

      • Abbie Hoffmans Ghost

Yes, I do. Ask your girlfriend what she was really doing last weekend when she told you she was at her Mother’s.

    • Seth

You have to be a troll. If you’re not, you are one of the most unbelievably misogynistic animals I’ve ever had the misfortune of encountering. Please never reproduce.

      • Abbie Hoffmans Ghost

Too late. Hope you like my offspring reproducing with your’s. We’ll be related! Now, go iron your wife’s pants.

    • Desmo

      It’s funny cause it’s true…

    • me

Just grow a pair and tell your girlfriend that your bonding with your guy friends, she should go do something with her girls. Quit your whining, loser.

      • Abbie Hoffmans Ghost

Without an original thought in your vapid little himbo head, you label yourself as “me.” What? Was “Testosterone Shrinkage” already taken?

  • anikes

Ummph. George R.R. Martin needs to stay home and start writing The Winds of Winter. ‘Cause I’d really not like to wait six years for the sixth book in A Song of Fire and Ice.

    • anikes

      ;)

    • charlotte

Oh yes. A Dance with Dragons has not even come out yet, and I’m wondering when he’ll be coming out with the next one.

  • Antoinette

First and foremost, Comic-Con is a business and they are in business to make money. I was in attendance the year that Twilight had their first panel at Comic-Con and yes it was insane. But it also was an insane amount of people spending their money! If you don’t want to see the Twilight panel, don’t be in Hall H during that panel, plan and simple. I can’t believe the nerve of some people that call themselves geeks or part of the geekdom. Isn’t part of being a geek embracing all that is weird and different in the world? When you jump on people for liking something you don’t how are you any different than the joke a**holes of the world that make fun of you and your D&D or LARP buddies?

    • rerun

But is it that different if its a best-selling series and blockbuster movie? It’s kind of the mainstream then.

    • Tom

These days, when you have a very very popular series or franchise, and that is anything but alternative, you should expect some constructive criticism.

    • Mick

Excellent post! I agree with everything you said. I don’t like Twilight but I certainly don’t spend my time hating on it’s fans. They have a right to enjoy their fandom just like anyone else.

      • Dina

Thank you!! That was a very kind thought :) I’m a twiheart and damn proud of it, so you others don’t waste your time hating twilight, ’cause there is so many who loves it, that it dosen’t really make sense hating it! Keep your words inside you if they don’t say any good, please..

    • Ned

The problem is that once you’re in Hall H, you can stay there all day- they don’t empty it. So those twi-tards line up and then hang out in there, taking up seats for panels that real fans want to get into but can’t. It’s the same for all the rooms at Comic-con but it’s especially annoying if you wait for four hours for a panel only to be told it’s full when that’s the reason you wanted to go to comic-con in the first place. The Twi-tards not only bring down the tone of the convention but they’re horrible seat squatters to boot.

      • Liz

REALL!!! Like they don’t do that at any panel. If your thier first chances are your thier the whole time. I’ve done it and it wasn’t for twilight.

    • melanie

five stars for that comment! people always complain how they were bullied and called names but act the same way given the chance! i love twilight but at the same time u don’t see me hating on all the other things people like that i find weird.

  • Antoinette

I meant to say ‘joke a**holes’ obviously but my point remains the same.

  • Antoinette

Why does it keep changing the word ‘jock’ to ‘joke’???? Aargh!!!!! (Kind of beleaguers my point when I have to correct the word repeatedly.) Oh well, LLAP!!

    • Desmo

Shut up.. Go to the kitchen and make me a g@d d@mn sandwich!

      • Abbie Hoffmans Ghost

        And don’t forget the beer!

  • Starchild

That is why I enjoy the Sci-Fi conventions in Florida. Nicer people, true sci fi fans and no harassment.

  • Emeri

AW YEA! Comic con is here once again!

  • Steve

Great – that means I’ll be stuck in line behind a bunch of teenybopper Twihards yet again. At least this is the last year they’ll be here!

  • Molly

Psych!!!Oh,how i wish i could be at comic con!:( Its my fav show!
