Thousands of lucky Brits are celebrating the world premiere of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in London on Thursday, but stateside fans of the boy wizard still have over a week to go before the big release. Luckily, Warner Bros. has come to the rescue with six full minutes of juicy teaser clips from the final installment of the Potter franchise. Warning: SPOILERS ABOUND!
Watch below as Harry and friends continue on their hunt for Voldemort’s horcruxes, starting with the break-in to Bellatrix Lestrange’s heavily cursed vault in Gringotts bank. We then see Harry, Hermione, and Ron arguing over Harry’s realization that they have to return to Hogwarts in order to destroy one of Voldemort’s horcruxes. Hermione objects, but Harry responds with an increasingly accurate statement: “Hermione, when have any of our plans actually worked?”
Flash forward to the moment this fan has been waiting for: Alan Rickman’s delightfully sinister Severus Snape performing his duties as Hogwarts’ newest headmaster. All goes well for our ambiguously villainous villain until a seemingly confident Harry shows up to finally confront his tormenter. Meanwhile, Hermione and Ron venture back to the Chamber of Secrets to destroy the horcrux obtained from Bellatrix’s vault, and the increasingly heroic Neville Longbottom confronts a mob of Voldemort’s Death Eaters.
Next up is a showdown in the Room of Requirement, where Draco Malfoy and his lovely pals walk in on Harry holding yet another one of Voldemort’s horcruxes. Nothing on how that particular situation is resolved, but the next clip jumps to the same room being destroyed in a fiery blaze as our heroes rush to escape.
Last but certainly not least, Harry finally faces Voldemort and his Death Eaters in the woods. “Come to die,” the Dark Lord teases. The clip ends with Voldemort shouting “avada kedavra,” also known as the killing curse, at our hero as a white light expels from his wand.

Watched these clips this morning on Huff Post. First of all, why is Crabbe suddenly a skinny black boy in the Room of REquirement scene. Second, I love Neville and can’t wait to see him fully embrace his BAMFness.
Because the actor who played him in the previous movies got arrested for DUI, if I recall correctly.
He got arrested with marijuana plants
That’s not even Crabbe at all, that’s supposed to be a different character.
Jamie Waylett, the real actor for Crabbe, got in trouble for possessing cannibis so he didn’t reprise his role.
So Goyle takes his place in that ‘moment’ (if you know what happens) instead.
How p.o.’d at himself he must be for screwing up big time and missing out on being in the most anticipated movie of all time. Young and dumb…I hope he straightens his life for its own sake.
The Crabbe actor was canned. Blaise Zabini takes his place in the RoR, and Goyle sets the Fiendfyre.
Because the Original actor got arrested for Cocaine or Marijuana possession. I don’t recall which tho.
The actor who played Crabbe was arrested for a DUI or something like that. Consequently, he was not permitted to be in the film.
That was so coool!! Can’t wait for the movie!! Go Hermonie!!
OMG!!! I am so going to the midnight show next week. I don’t care if I have to be at work at 8:30 the next morning. Those clips make me want to see the movie even worse than I want to now.
Crabbe isn’t skinny, that’s Goyle. The actor who played Crabbe was arrested for manufacturing and selling drugs out of his house (and claimed he was in danger due to gambling debts). He’s now in jail; hence they gave his role to the actor who played Goyle, and added Zabini (the black actor) to the scene.
They did not give his role away, Malfoy specifically say Goyle and then the random skinny guy is just standing there. So does that mean that Blaise is going to die in Fiendfyre instead of Crabbe who is now MIA?
i think i read somewhere that Goyle is going to die instead. but i could be totally wrong on that one
Love that we get to see Ron & Hermione destroy the cup instead of it just being told.
I like that too. I also liked the added Hermione & her parents scene in 7.1
Ehhh I kinda wish they would stop releasing all of these… it’s way too spoiler-y… even though everyone knows what happens already, I want to be surprised with the film when I get into the theater! And I’m sorry I have no self-restraint so I had to watch these…. heheh
I totally agree. That was my first reaction. I want to be surprised in the theater, especially since this is the last one. But I have no self control and had to watch these anyway!
Oh my goodness, July 15th can’t get here soon enough!
Another boring movie for a bunch of mindless people.
Another fantastic movie for people with intelligence, originality, heart, and imagination…
@tarc: Troll! Could smell him a mile away!
I guess I shouldn’t drink so much while posting…hick-up
And now I got the crabs all over me.
Gosh, with all those crabbes you’ll never get a goyle.
Hey Tool why don’t you go sleep it off.
Tool, I hope you don’t go to the same theater as I do.
Just, for that, I’m going to your theater. And I’m gonna sit next to you. Excited?
Tool, I think you should get rid of those crabs before you waste time posting, punk
Hi Tool, Try A200, that will clear up your crab problem.
Tool, Did your boyfriend gie you the crabs or is it the other way around?
