Gus Van Sant's 'Restless' trailer: Good spirits

Restless, the Cannes release from Good Will Hunting director Gus Van Sant, is a ghost story. But don’t expect any scares — instead, the film focuses on a teenage boy’s (Henry Hopper) friendship with a Japanese kamikaze’s spirit and romance with a sick girl (Mia Wasikowska) who only has so much more time on this Earth. It’s likely it won’t be the kind of blockbuster Wasikowska has come to know over the past year (after all, she was the second highest-grossing actor of 2010, determined by her projects), but the film looks interesting nonetheless. See its trailer after the jump.

Holy crap could they cram any more quirky indie dramedy elements into one movie? Looks to be one of the more annoying movies of the year.
